Happy Forth of July 2010 weekend. All stay safe and sound. Oh to be able to go to Tom Brown park . Still have the memories .
Buddy was a great pup!
Joe's dog Buddy died 16 June 2010 at the age of 13 years old. His death was sudden. He is buaried in the backyard on 3180 Lookout Trail. He is being missed by family and many friends that he and Joe knew from doing their daily walk these past years.
Memorial Day 2010 Thanks to all who gave their lives in service to this country. Thanks you all for you service to our country.
Dear Bea, I know from holding Coop's little hand that it is a memory that can not be forgoten. I have forgoten holding Trish and Chris's hands when they were tiny but I don't think you can forget the grandchild or great grandchild. They are so very special. The love for them is also the love of their parent's and their grand parents. It is beyond belief. What a wonderful thing grand children and great grandchildren are.
I was looking at the pictures this morning on actnuts and facebook. I was reminded that Grandpa Joe and Grandma Bea were the first to be a baby sitter for Hunter. We will at the hospital when Christy and Kurt were invited to have their special dinner that evening in the hospital. We stayed and held Hunter while they did that. Oh it seems like just a short time ago but happy to have the memory. I still feel Hunter's fat little hand in mine.
Thank you Kathy. Oh so long ago but yet the years have gone by fast.
Bea, I love the picture of you at the beach. You are a beautiful woman.
Happy Birthday Claude and have many many more. Love and Hugs, Mom Bowman

Morning Bea, What a pretty day it looks to be here. I am just ready for spring!
WHERE WERE YOUR SEAT BELTS IN THE CAR? I WAS SURPRISED AT THAT. GET WITH IT. YOUR ARE A FUNNY GROUP.
A few weeks ago I had a dream about Hunter. I shared it with Amber after she told about having a dream. I don't think she ever did put it on actnuts. Dreams are interesting and up setting. I Love you.
Last night Hunter was in my dreams! I was on the stern of a large fishing boat in calm seas. I was leaning over the side pulling in small tuna maybe 20 pounds each. Someone in a boat close by yelled, "you have to use big rigs to catch the big tuna!". I shouted back that we were using big rigs but the little ones kept getting hooked. I stood upright to find myself next to Hunter. Just then his reel spun out. He had a huge tuna on his line. He had a fighting harness around him and both hands on his rod. The rest of the dream lasted maybe 5 seconds before I woke up. He looked concerned and then I felt what was going on in his mind. He was scared that the fish would over power him and pull him into the water. We both knew the tuna was several hundred pounds. I shared his thoughts as we envisioned him being yanked into the blue water. My thoughts immediately went to horror as I didn't want my son to be pulled over in front of my very eyes. I then realized I was dreaming and woke up. I didn't want the dream to go on for I was afraid he would vanish in front of me. It felt so real. I lay in bed happy that I had fished with him again even though it was tramatic. I told myself over and over again to remember the dream.
I always say don't make plans, make options
Some of the Bowman girls are going to lunch today. Not sure who all will show up. So far Bea, Nina and Jessica. Trying think of what I might like for lunch at Po-Boys. We will talk about all those that do not attend. Barbra wishes she could join us. Maybe next time.
I also miss actnuts. Now everyone seems to do face book. I like actnuts better, but maybe that is because I am dumb at face book. Also facebooks takes too much time.
Hey Kathy, Jessica and I are going on the cruise.
who is going on the cruise?
I miss Actnuts the way it use to be. It is sad to see the change. Maybe I just miss Joe

Thanks Kathy, We also wish you and all your family a great Thanksgiving Day. We all have many reasons to be thankful each day but Thanksgiving time reminds us of this. Love to you all.
Bowman Family, The holidays are just days away. I wish you all the best and a happy holiday season. I know that Hunter will be missed so very much, but he will be with you in spirit. He will always be with you in spirit. He will never be far away. I know he wants you to smile. What ever pain he felt, he no longer feels and he wants you to be happy with him. You need to know that he is at peace now. He wants you to be at peace with him Love you all
Think of our Veterans today and be thankfull that we have them. Also "accept that some days you're the pigeon and some days you're the stature"
random notebook entry: I drink mountain dew like water and I still never know what to say. I still don't know how to get out of bed half the time. Its not pretty or endearing. I like sharing secrets, I am still looking for be saved, sometimes I am so weak, sometimes I am so strong. My heart is ugly but it could be all yours.
It's not so far fetched to think the world revolves around oneself.
Ida decided to stay away from Tallahassee. That is good for us but we were ready. Still 3 weeks to get a storm.
everyone thinks the world revolves around them. well it dosent. it revolves around me! HAHA just kidding.........
Hey Kurt, I figured that he doesn't. It just isn't the same. I use to love to read what was on his mind. Now I settle for email. Hope you have a good weekend.
Kathy, I've heard from various sources that he doesn't go to actnuts anymore.
Kurt thanks for making the video clips of Erik's jump flow. You are the bomb! Love you
Joe, Where are you and your thoughts? I check everyday and then I email you. I miss you and your "Rants" I love them.
Good jumping Erik. You grandchildren are enough to worry a Grandma. Love you all
SO JEALOUS THAT ERIC IS JUMPING OUT OF A PLANE. TAKE ME!!!
Happy Birthday Kurt to you. happy birthday to you. Hope your day is great.
piced up Pecans this weekend. So far we have about 100 pounds, most likely another 300 pounds in the yard. Have to take and get them cracked and shelled as that is way too much work for me. This time of year is when I am so thankful for the freezer!
Well we're off to see Erik jump out of an airplane this morning. Exhilerating as I found it 34 years ago at the Army's "jump school", I'll have to view this as I have never see in person somebody tandem jumping. Good luck Erik enjoy yourself. What a beautiful day to "jump." Love, Dad
The first day of a new month. I am looking forward to a beautiful month of November with lots of sunshine, cool air, health and just all things to be beutiful for all of us.
WOW! what great stuff some of you have written on actnuts. I would be afraid to try to describe myself or maybe I am just not very good with words, or maybe I don't want to know, or maybe I feel that no one would care. Sarah I think you should be a jounalist as you sure are good with words. You must take after your Grandpa Joe and Kurt when it come to writing. I love you.
Happy Birthday!!! What an amazing person you are. It has been a great treasure to say I know you, and an even greater treasure to call you a friend! Love you like a fat kid loves cake
Brilliant Claude!
Sarah. What a superb description of your self-image as you see yourself now. The view of oneself is a moving picture. I am sure many have told you that things will get better. Well that can not be garaunteed. A lot of how you want to be is the hard work of becoming what you want to be. The good news is that you have the tools to do it. Bright, witty, creative, able to read people, desire to learn and be better. The motivation must come from within and sometimes it takes a great mentor, coach, person who will talk with you that can listen in a detached manner. Being a teenager evnentually going into your twenties is rough as emotions are raw and tender; not fully developed. The mankind as something beastial is what you'll have to figure out on your own. There are jerks and there are those who are saints and then there are the rest who are just trying to make it through life with a focus on what they want; some dream small and some dream big. Dream big and work to achieve your dreams. You can do it. I didn't spend nearly 30 years in the Army rise to the rank of colonel without the ability to spot those that can be winners--you are a winner--you just have to figure it out. Your Uncle Claude---who may be quiet but cares about you and the family
Happy Birthday DAD! Misquoting Churchill you are "...a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma..." but perhaps there is a key. The interest of you and your family is most important to you. Thank you for providing that teachable value. I appreciate your inclusiveness of those not "of the family" as being one of the family. Love, Claude
Happy Birthday Dad.You are both a mystery and predictable all in one.Thank you for being my dad.Enjoy the day.
Happy Birthday Dad! My heart is broken most times. I cherish the times we have spent together. You taught me much about being a good person. I took most of your advice. I lost my way many times and you have always been there for me. I hope I haven't disappointed you overall. Have a great birthday. Soak in every minute of the day and every day. I love you.
So brave Sarah! Well said. I think humans are the worst animals. Perhaps it is because we have souls to confuse what is natural and what is spiritual. We are all tender hearted. Our feelings are like a dogs in that they get hurt easily. The great gift about being a human is the ability to look at oneself as if it were a seperate entity and if disgusted, make a change. Have you ever heard of Neuro-linguistic programming, N.L.P.? I have always been interested in self hypnosis and meditation. N.L.P. is another way of looking at yourself as if you are someone else and seeing yourself as you want that person to see you. It takes great focus but can be very satisfying. I think we are so complex that we are different to every other soul we meet. You just wrote in the guestbook a self description of yourself. Tomorrow it may be different. I see you as different than your description. I have been in contact with thousands and thousands of people. Many envy. Many hate me. Some think I'm handsome. Some think I'm loathsome. Some think I'm witty. Some think I'm moranic. It's awesome! Nothing is real. We alone decide what is real. We are in control of ourselves! By the way Sarah, I think you are: Gorgeous, creative, funny, congenial, genuine and courageous. And that can hardly describe how great you really are.
I am not confident. I know I'm smart but not in ways that count. I read people much better than books but I never have the words to explain my findings. I'm only as funny as I feel and I think I am very pretty. I sometimes walk with my head down and my posture is terrible. I think horrible thing about people and I let my emotions get the best of me. I'm really not as nice as i'd like to be, or innocent as you'd think I am. I am a perfectionist. I am a contradiction to everything I stand for. I'm a big dreamer with little motivation. I am really no good at all on my own, but I am analytical with myself. And I don't understand how anyone could ever be cocky or proud when they are aware of all the disgusting things that they think and do, but no one knows. We're all broken enough to be humble.
Love ya lots Bea. You are always in my thoughts
Hi Kathy, I do enjoy seeing your beautiful grandson. I can see that you love and enjoy him dearly. They grow up so very fast. Looks like the holidays are going to come around fast. Not sure I am ready for that. Take care. Also thank you for thinking of me with the special cards and writing me. Love and Hugs, Bea
Sunday was a grand time with the family. Dad had his annual speech and the birthday people enjoyed their presents. Seeing everybody together is wonderful; no pranks though--just a lot of laughing and smiling.
Happy Birthday to the Bowman family! Joe the pictures were great. Looks like everyone had a great time. Love ya
Wecome back to Tallahassee Brittany and Matt. Let me know if we can be of any help. I have a couple of things you may be interested in now since you have a bigger home. I will keep it in my Goodwell corner until you come around. Once again it will be fun to have you close to attend our family get togethers from time to time. Love to both
Good to visit Sunday morning with Nina, Kurt, Jessica and Kyndal. Do it more often. Joe and I enjoyed the Lewis and Clark story at the IMAX in the afternoon and then dinner at Ted's. I did fairly well with the IMAX but legs hurt today from climbing the stairs and coming back down. What of what is to become of me. Smiles!
Thank you everyone for all my birthday wishes. I had a grreat day. Love you All
Happy Birthday day to our Nina and many many more. Hope you have a great day and we will be celebrating later. Love and Hugs, Mama
Great words of wisdom mom.
Inside Every Older Person Is A Younger Person Wondering What the Hell Happened.
It is truly a beautiful song, that breaks your heart. I love you Bowmans
"WHY" what a beautiful song and it must have been meant for us as I know how we are feeling with the lost of our Hunter. It made me cry but I mostly cry each day when I think or we talk or something reminds us of Hunter. I will always feel the lost of Hunter and I know all the family members will also. Oh my.
great poem! Who wrote it?
It must` a been a place so dark couldn`t feel the light Reachin` for you through that stormy cloud Now here we are gathered in our little home town This can`t be the way you meant to draw a crowd Oh why that`s what i keep askin` Was there anything i could have said or done Oh i had no clue you were masking the troubled soul god only knows What went wrong and why you`d leave the stage in the middle of a song Mmmmmmm Now in my mind i keep you frozen as a fifteen year old Around for when you scored the winning run You always played with passion no matter what the game When you took the stage you shined just like the sun Oh why that`s what i keep askin` Was there anything i could have said or done Oh i had no clue you were masking the troubled soul god only knows What went wrong and why you`d leave the stage in the middle of a song. Now the oak trees are swayin` in the early autumn breeze The golden sun is shining on my face The tangled thoughts i hear a mockingbird sing This old world really ain`t that bad a place Oh why there`s no comprehending And who am i to try to judge or explain Oh but i do have one burning question Who told you life wasn`t worth the fight They were wrong They lied And now you`re gone And we cried Cause it`s not like you to walk away in the middle of a song Your beautiful song Your absolutely beautiful song WE LOVE YOU HUNTER!!
I wish I would have created facebook! I would have bought everyone their own yacht.

Hello Bowmans, 8 1/2 inches of rain this week and it is not over for us yet! Coop is better (still in day care) Today I am painting up at the guest house. Keeps me busy. Love ya,
Hey Dad I just read your poem. It is a good one as always. I copied it and will put it with your other poems I have kept. Love
Dear Bowmans, Hope you are good. Coop started daycare on Tuesday. By Thursday he was sick by Friday night he was at the ER for hours. I had him today and he is getting better. We spent most of the morning in the rocking chair. Chris says he is going back to day care in the morning. I strongly disagree, but I am the grandmother not the mother. I am the mother-in-law not the mom. I did enjoy having him back with me today. Love ya biggest.
It's not that we intentionally didn't respond to your poem. Other things go on. Shit happens. I've been sick since Wednesday. Who knows. Even the webmaster doesn't always look at the actnuts guestbook daily! Love ya dad!
Well that one hit me between the eyes. I will never expect an answer in the future.
With all due respect dad there have been many times when actnuts visitors have made posts or pictures have been displayed of events which have gone without comment by you. I don't expect anyone to comment on anthing I put on actnuts. Nice poem by the way.
Dear children and other friends. Recently I wrote a poem on 911, urging everyone to REMEMBER 911. I even misspelled member so that you might look for it and call me on it. I even asked one of you (off line) if you had seen my poem. Nothing! It was like the proverbial tree that fell in the forest and no one was there, so no one heard it….You did not even mention my poem. I am hurt! You might at least have said, Good Poem! Or, "You agree", or, "I am just too busy to mention your poem." or well…. whatever. But, I do understand your feelings. You may even need to establish your bona fide’s and need a “plausible deniability. “ (remember, Big Brother is watching you) Well now I have said my say. Have a nice day! Dad
A wise man once said that, "People spend so much time trying to fool others that they often end up in fooling themselves."
Kurt, I thought you might come for coffee this rainy morning. Hope you are feeling better. It seems that it is flu season again. Have a nice day. Love you, Mama Bea I liked the way you put your photo. Makes me cry when I see our Hunter. What a good boy he was and cute as a button. None came any betterl Oh me oh my
CLAUDE, WE HOPE YOU GET BETTER AND THAT THE PROCEDURE WORKED. lOVE YA MOM AND DAD
REMEMBER 911 We must never forget Nine Eleven, When Twin Towers came crashing down. And thousands died on that terrible day, People even jumped to the ground. The” Towel Heads” crashed their airplanes And the “sleeping giant” came awake! Then, flags waved and people cheered, In honor of our Country’s sake. But, Nine, One One, was so long ago, And we have forgotten to remember, That our Country is still in great danger, And that terrible day in September. So when Autumn paints the country side, And the brown leaves begin to fall, Remember the spirit of “Nine One One!” And listen to our Nation’s call. MEMEMBER, REMEMBER By Joseph R Bowman 11 September 2009 I dedicate this poem to those Americans who died On that terrible day in September, 2001. We must not forget what happened that day! For it is still a dangerous world, and America is vulnerable. Do not support those people who would make our Country weak! The American People are the ones that can and must renew the spirit of 911. It is our sacred responsibility to not to forget and to make our leaders Lead the people in the remembrance of the spirit of 911..
Hey Bill, it was great to hear from you. Call ME, JOE! Mr. Bowman sounds so old and stuffy! (Smiles) Your post was informative and newsy and you said some very important things. You are right, everyone does it. But the past is the past and we can’t change that. The present and the future is the only things that matter. Our dear leader has bankrupted our country in less than a hundred days. Like the war in Afghanistan and the “Sand Box” it seems that few people care. I use a formula to tell why. I believe that 75% of the American People are stupid. (Yes, they can read and write and add 2+2 and get 4, but they ignore the truth. I say that 50% of the American” people do not vote. It is evident that they don’t care, so I say to hell with them! They are not “real citizens“. Then there is the other 50%….. 20% of them always vote Democrat. (not Democratic, for that is a verb) I have known many people in my life and I think that a Democrat is brain dead. I can’t imagine anyone voting for a Democrat. Churchill once said that, ”If you are twenty and are not a liberal, you have no heart. But if you are 40 and are not a Conservative, you have no brain. I have a lot of respect for Churchill. So what of the others, those who always vote Republican (perhaps 20%) You note that I do not call them Conservatives. I seriously wonder if most of them know why they are voting for a Republican. I thought that McCain was the worst candidate the Republicans could muster. I am afraid that I do not have much hope for us all. Remember Rome? I used to have great hope for the American People and their decisions. But they voted for FDR and Truman and JFK and LBJ and Carter and now our dear leader. So, the people often are wrong. I like to read history and Paul Revere is one of my heroes. I see him riding through the mists of morning telling the people that , “THE BRITISH ARE COMING!” so I believe that “We the People must awaken and we must get involved and we must expose ourselves to the heat of controversy. I am like Hamlet, “Whether tis nobler to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune or to take up arms against a sea of troubles, and by opposing, end them!” My voice is small and it is weak but it only takes one little candle to lighten up the dark. Keep writing Bill. I hope you will continue to write in the guest book or on a “back channel” to me. I have many fond memories of you and I THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE…..Joe
Mr. Bowman, Everything is great with me, I am married with two adorable daughters, I currently live in Mt. Laurel, not far from the old stomping grounds in the Vistas. I'm over there quite often and occasionally drive down Shelter Rock and Durham Terrace to check out the neighborhood. It definitely brings back some great memories. I must say that my fondness for Limburger Cheese came from Mrs. Bowman. LOL My dad just had bypass and heart valve replacement surgery and is doing well. On a different note, in your previous post, you had said that our President acts like there is no war on terrorism, unfortunately it seems like the average American acts this way. With Americans dying everyday in this fight, it seems that the biggest story is that Apple unveiled a new i-pod! Our politicans, both Democrat and Republican have perfected the art of "wagging the dog". They have been able to accomplish the "bullets and butter" philosophy of LBJ at the expense of our children's future! George Bush did it with the stimulus plan tax rebates and Obama is attempting to do it with healthcare. Let's borrow from the Chinese and let our children worry about it. I'm sorry if I've rambled a bit, but when you see friends that you've served with dying in Iraq and Afghanistan, and nobody seems to care, it makes you a bit pissed off. Yes, you are correct, in the words of Kipling, the soldier is forgotten.
Letters@Tallahasse.com Dear Mr. Ensley, this refers to your article on 9 September 09, concerning socialism, in the Democrat. The dictionary defines socialism as the government ownership and or administration of the means of production. As an example, the government now administers the banking business and the mortgage business and the automobile business. Hence, the leader of the government, which is Mr. Obama, is a socialist. Socialism is what it is and it is not racist to say so. It is regrettable that you must refer to Americans who disagree with the President’s policies, as racists. Name calling is not helpful and diminishes the effectiveness of your newspaper. As for the other socialist programs, there is Social Security which is a government managed entitlement. Then there is the Post office which is a government managed organization. Medicare is also a socialist program, managed by the government. All of these socialist programs are broke due to mismanagement. And now, Mr. Obama wants to manage our health care? Does anyone in their right mind believe that socialism is a good thing for America? Mr. Ensley, get serious! By the way, your bias is showing, Mr. Ensley. Joseph R Bowman 3280 Lookout Trail Tallahassee, Fl 850 894 0387 Joe@Actnuts.com
DEAR LEADER, WHEN ASKED WHY THERE WAS NO TORT REFORM IN THE HEALTH BILL, GOVERNOR DEAN, REPLIED, “That would be the end of the health reform because the tort lawyers would not permit it." What do you think?
All humans are worm food. All politicians are worm food. We are all brothers. The one who feeds the worms last wins.
DO YOU HAVE PLAUSIBLE DENIABILITY? Here is how to get it. You know that many people read Actnuts. Probably some people in the government read Actnuts. So, many of you are afraid to post anything in the Guest Book. I guess that I can understand that. I am just glad that I am no longer afraid of anything. The biggest thing I see in my future is my death; and that does not worry me. However, I do think that is too bad that you are afraid; well, that is you and it is the way things are. But, if you are going to run for some "higher government office", they (“them") will go back to the day you were born and analyze everything you ever did. Well that is the way it would be, unless you are a favored member of the democrat party. No matter what you did or what you said, or how many crazy uncles you had, it would all be forgotten or ignored or forgiven. OK, anyway, you need plausible deniability. That is, you have to be able to say that you did go on Actnuts from time to time, (just to see the pictures of course, like reading Playboy) Now this is important so listen up! You need to write in the Guest Book that you do not agree with anything that is ever said in the Guest Book, and that you violently oppose the "absolutely stupid posts" made in the Guest Book. I do not guarantee that your comment will save your ass. But, it may give you some form of plausibility in the event you run for Congress or the FBI or the CIA or whatever. Get the point? Now sit down and decide what you are going to do and you need to do it ASAP. Love, your Dad
Kathy, you are my daughter. Never forget that! I love you, Joe
Good post Bill. our "Dear Leader" acts like there is no war on terrorism. It is about time for Americans to remember that "Real Americans" are fighting and dying for our survival. Kipling said it like it is. The soldier is forgotten. I look forward to more of your posts. Where are you? what are you doing? Keep writing.....
Hello Bowman's, I wanted to talk about a true American hero, someone that I had the honor of serving with in the 82nd Airborne Division. SFC Monti is being bestowed our nations highest honor, the Medal of Honor, on Sept. 17th, 2009 in Washington D.C. Jared was a soldier's soldier, someone who cared about his troop's welfare before his own. We were just lowly E-4's when we first met but in him I saw the true traits of leadership. Whether conservative or liberal, please take a moment to remember a man who personified the American spirit. He is a true American hero, please help me ensure that his legacy is carried forward so that future generations remember the ultimate sacrifice that he made. Please copy and paste the following link to learn more about SFC Monti and why we must ensure that he is NEVER FORGOTTEN. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jared_C._Monti
Go for it Joe!!! I love it. You say so well what I think. Are you sure that I don't belong to you and Bea instead of Loyd and Bonnie? Went to Waco today with Gary Chris and Coop.Every place we wanted to go to was closed for Labor Day. Chris says " I never in my life drove three friggin hours for a hamburger" I in turn said " three friggin hours with your mom and dad." His reply "Make that way way too long for anyone" we did have fun. The baby was great. He starts day care in the morning. I am not handling this well at all.Love to all of you
QUESTION: DEAR LEADER,YOU HAVE SAID THAT YOU ASSOCIATE YOURSELF WITH PEOPLE WHO ARE “EXPERTS IN THEIR FIELD.” AS AN EXAMPLE, WHEN YOU NEED ADVICE ON MILITARY MATTERS, YOU ASSOCIATE YOURSELF WITH GENERAL JONES. IF THAT IS CORRECT, WHY DID YOU SELECT MR.VAN JONES AS YOUR GREEN CZAR. JONES WAS AN AVOWED COMMUNIST NOT LONG AGO AND HE ALSO SAID THAT THE REPUBLICANS ARE ASS HOLES. JONES WAS ONE OF THE NUT-JOBS THAT BELIEVED THAT PRESIDENT BUSH WAS INVOLVED IN THE TWIN TOWERS COMING DOWN. WHO VETTED MR. JONES AND DID YOU KNOW THAT HE WAS AN AVOWED COMMUNIST? EVEN THOUGH MR.VAN JONES HAS RESIGNED UNDER FIRE, YOU STILL NEED TO TELL US WHO AND HOW JONES WAS VETTED. PLEASE BE SPECIFIC AND ANSWER MY QUESTION WHEN YOU ADDRESS THE CHILDREN ON TUESDAY THIS WEEK. YOUR LOYAL TAX PAYER, JOE
Dear Leader, your Education Secretary has said that the turmoil surrounding the President’s speech to the children tomorrow, is just, and I quote, “silly”. Do you think the parents of children who do not want their children to listen to you are, “just silly”? Just sign me up as a silly grandpa.
kurt, I LOVE THE VIDEO. Is actnuts the photo album of the future?
QUESTION #3 MISTAH BARRACK IF GOVERNMENT MANAGED HEALTH CARE IS SO GREAT, WHY DOES IT EXEMPT YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AND ALL THE MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AND THE SENATE? PLEASE ANSWER MY QUESTION ON TUESDAY WHEN YOU ADDRESS THE CHILDREN, JUST SIGN ME, YOUR LOYAL TAX PAYER, JOE

Glad for a 3 days weekend. Jessica I wanted to cry for you cleaning up all that water! I'll bring the towels back later. Great Korean Food last night. Love,
Thank you Claude, Nina, Mark, Jessica and Kurt for joining us last evening for the great food at the Korean Restaurant. Dad has said it all on his note. Let's to it again soon.
Mama and I had a wonderful time tonight at the new Korean Restaurant. We were accompanied by Nina and Claude and Mark and Jessica and Kurt. Mr Lee served us a medley of delicious Korean food. We were the only "round eyes" at the restaurant but we enjoyed every dish. I urged Mr Lee to open a Korean Restaurant in Tallahassee, many years ago. I told him there was no Korean restaurant in the city and there were many Korean students attending the colleges and universities. Mr Lee is very active in the Korean church here in town and he serves food to the members of his church on Sunday. At last we have a Korean restaurant to visit. Korean food is very different from any other Asian food. It is very spicy but very tasty. I learned to enjoy this unique combination of vegetables and meat while serving in the Seventh (Bayonet)Division at Camp Casey, South Korea. I hope to return to taste the other dishes on the menu in the very near future.
