Amber I am so sorry for you and Hunter and your mom and Dad. We love you and are here for you. I love you!
Dearest Amber, what a poignant poem. Like me, you are able to express your true feelings in poetry. You will never forget your graduation present. But, life goes on and some how we humans are able to stand the hurt. And as time goes by, it is just a bitter memory. However, the scar is always there and when we feel it, it rushes back in a flash to remind us.... and then fades away. But not everyone deserts you. Grandma and I will be here for you as long as we live. There is always a place in our heart for you because you will be our Granddaughter forever. Our love, always, Grandpa
When I am older and I recall, when I walked the stage and didn't fall, Sadly I wont think of this part, because my dad has broken my heart, Last 24th of Saturday, I asked my mom what she had to say, I had a feeling in my mind, that things between them were not fine, And then I took in the words she spoke, I knew it was not a joke, I cried, cried, and cried some more, I was angry, confused, and sad to the core, But now I know, and I will not cry, There are no tears left, my eyes are dry, Your family is not always there for you, I know this now but I'm not blue, But I DO know that I'll NEVER do, What this has put me and hunter through.
Amber, we enjoyed our lunch with you at the Red Elephant. Good food, good company. We are so proud of you. See you at graduation tomorrow. Love Grandpa
Thanks Nanny, Poppa, Brian and Shane for a great granduation dinner. The ribs were the best and Maggie sure enjoyed the cake :^)
Words to erase from your vocabulary: ALWAYS, NEVER, FOREVER, GOOD, BAD, EVERYONE, NO ONE, THE WORST, THE BEST, I ASSUME
Great Poem Dad!
You can outdistance that which is running after you, but not what is running inside you. -Rwandan Proverb
LIFE No matter how bad things seem, They’re all resolved in the end. The strongest and toughest tree, When there’s a storm, may bend. You know, nothing lasts forever. Even the mountains wear away, And, one day our life will end. Even the night will turn into day. So my friend, hold your head up high, And try hard to make a smiley face. Raise the guidon, Forward March! Then, go on with life’s merry race. Enjoy each precious second, every hour, Just as though it were your very last. Then one special day, it surely will be. For our happy life goes by too fast. By Joseph R Bowman 25 May, 2008 I will remember this day forever!

Congratulations to you Sarah for bering nominated to the Varina Key Club. Community service is important to your resume. When you seek a job, your activity in the community indicates your interest in people. Many people feel the pain of those who are less fortunate than we are, but a very few do something about it. I am proud of you Sarah, you are a super star. Love Grandpa
21 May, 2008 Dear Senator Nelson, when I read your recent excellent article in the Democrat, here in Tallahassee, I eagerly anticipated your comments on the terrible oil dilemma which we face today in the United States. You are our senior Senator here in Florida, and we have always respected your opinions. However, I was extremely disappointed as I read your article. I was looking forward to your opinions and even perhaps an answer to the serious problem we are facing in the field of biofuel energy. But, you did not mention that the problem is that the United States is dependent upon Middle East oil. And that oil is the life blood of the United States. And you did not indicate that the most important reason for oil not coming from our own resources is that the Democrats in the Congress are the primary reason we cannot separate ourselves from Middle Eastern oil. And as a result, the unusually high demand for oil has caused the price of gas to rise to almost four dollars a gallon. As you no doubt know, when President Bush went to Saudi Arabia to ask OPEC to produce more oil, the President was told, in no uncertain terms, that there is no shortage of oil. I was looking forward to you telling us that the high demand for oil is exacerbated to a critical state, by both China and India, and other developing countries, which are competing with the United States for oil. We should remember that President Bill Clinton (D) put ANWR and the Gulf of Mexico off limits to drilling for oil, and since that time, the problem for our dependence on Middle East oil is not being resolved. As you say in your article, drilling in ANAR and the Gulf will not solve the problem of high gas prices today. But, it is a step in the right direction. I might add, if President Clinton had not put ANWAR and the Gulf off limits, and if we had begun drilling for oil then, (more than ten years ago) we would be reaping the benefits of that effort now. Best of all, we would be well on the way to escaping our dependence on Middle Easter oil. Unfortunately, even if we begin drilling today in ANWR and the Gulf, it will take at least ten years to get any oil. But, Senator Nelson we must begin somewhere and what is better than today? So I reiterate, the Democrats in Congress, and a few myopic Republicans, are greatly responsible for the oil problem and the resultant high gas prices that we have today. In addition, and equally important, the United States has not constructed any new gas refineries for many years. We must begin to help ourselves. But, the Democrat Congress is interfering in the resolution of the problem. Please, Senator Nelson, tell us the truth about the rising price of gas and put the blame for it where it belongs. Most sincerely, Joseph R Bowman 3180 Lookout Trail Tallahassee, Fl 32309 Tele: 850 894 0387

This evening while Mama and I were eating dinner on our porch, We received a phone call from a young lady from Legacy Toyota. After introducing herself and telling me the purpose of her call, she asked whether or not I was satisfied with the service I had experienced with Legacy Toyota. The young lady was very professional and she sounded so sincere that I was happy to tell her how I felt. I have always been totally satisfied with any business encounter with Legacy Toyota. In short,I was very impressed with her demeanor and consider that Miss Bowman is an asset to her employer. Legacy Toyota is lucky to have such professional employees as Miss Amber Bowman.
Thanks Nina! The Party was great!!!!!
What a great Mother's Day party! The Shipley's out did them selves. All the mothers looked great, the food was delicious and the frivality was unparalled. Thank you one and all. Love Dad
MOTHERS DAY Every day is “MOTHERS DAY.” But, they never get a rest. Every day is just another day, A day to take their test. Get up, be quick, and do your job! Before the rest have gone. Cook the food and wash the clothes, Sometimes before the dawn. Clean the house and scrub the floor, Sew all those buttons on. Iron the pants and starch the shirt! At last the morning’s gone. She eats her lunch and writes the checks, Oh! Where does that money go? Then wash the car and cut the grass… By five, she’s feeling low. Then one by one, the kids come home. “Hey Mom! What can we eat?” They track in dirt and run upstairs, “Why don’t you wipe your feet?” At last her husband calls her “Honey, I’ll be a little late.” “The boy’s and I are going out, We have a dinner date.” So, she bathes the kids, Tells them all about her happy life. It’s fun to have a “mothers Day” And be a busy wife. By Joseph R Bowman 10 May 1997 I dedicate this simple poem To all the mothers in our family. It is a difficult job, but the benefits are worth it JRB 11 May 08

“You'll seldom experience regret for anything that you've done. It is what you haven't done that will torment you. The message, therefore, is clear. Do it! Develop an appreciation for the present moment. Seize every second of your life and savor it. Value your present moments. Using them up in any self-defeating ways means you've lost them forever.” -Wayne Dyer

Courage, it would seem, is nothing less than the power to overcome danger, misfortune, fear, injustice, while continuing to affirm inwardly that life with all its sorrows is good; that everything is meaningful even if in a sense beyond our understanding; and that there is always tomorrow. -Dorothy Thompson

Hunter shaving? Oh me, oh my! I can remember so much about you. The first time you came to stay with Grandma and me, I fell with you into the edge of the stovein the kitchen. How many great times I had with you. We went out in the old canoe that is now on the trash heap of time. Now you play the drums and the guitar and you drive a Vette and the girls love you. I love you so much and am so proud of you. You can play any sport and excell in all of them. You are so smart and make good grades and soon you will be out on your own. Don't forget your old grandparents.
Absolutely great! Thank you Kurt. Time, you thief... when did our kids grow up? When did we get old? Life has been great..and there is more to come.
I can hardly believe it Hunter. I am pleased that all our children are growing up and being healthy but it's a little sad when I think of how fast the years are going. Bless them all.
Kurt, I really like the new look of Actnuts. Everyone likes to see themselves in print and in pictures and on video. You have created a masterpiece. Be proud of yourself. Do not be afraid to give yourself credit for what you have accomplished. You deserve everything you have achieved. You are the greatest and you are admired and respected by one and all. You have won life's lottery. Your star is still rising and only you can stop its' upward climb.I am so proud of my son. My love always, your Dad
Once upon a time in a far off land across the sea, there lived a young man who was very poor. He thought, “If I was rich, I would be happy.” He was a hard worker and every cent he could make, he saved in a small box under his bed. He thought, “If I stay on this miserable piece of ground, I will never get rich. I will leave this place and go to the big city.” So, one day he took all his money and went to a big city. Once again, he worked very hard and saved his money. He did not go to plays or the opera and his clothes were shabby and poorly fit. He did not go to restaurants and he ate all his meals in his one room apartment. Although he met a nice girl and fell in love, he did not get married, because he thought that it would cost too much money to have a family. It wasn’t long till the girl left him because she knew that he would never marry her. After many years of hard work, he was still not rich. He had become very discouraged and finally he decided that he would just go back home and live more cheaply on his parents’ property. So, he took all of his money, which wasn’t very much by today’s standards, and he went back to the miserable piece of ground that had belonged to his parents. He thought, “If I can just live frugally in this miserable place, I may be able to live the rest of my life in peace.” After several years, he became very ill and after being in great pain, he died. He had never had happiness and of course he had never become rich. After he died, his parents’ property was sold to the highest bidder. Then one day, the new owners were digging garden, and they hit on something a few feet under the ground. As they dug, they discovered a great vein of gold that brought them great riches. Old Indian proverb
“You can't change the past, but you can ruin the present by worrying about the future”
“The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future, or anticipate troubles, but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly.” -Buddha
Hello Kurt, congratulations on a red banner year at Legacy. Do not be satisfied until every citizen in Tallahassee has a brand new Toyota. You can do it. Toyota is the best car on the road today. If your gas prices are too high, get a Yarus. (Japanese for FUN.)
