March 2008 News Vault

New month!  New predictions

03.01

March is here.  Let me make my predictions for this month.  There will be sunshine and there will be rain.

Car Show

03.02

Hunter and I drove his corvette out to Baum road to check out a car show.  There were some exotics, classics and even some vintage motorcycles.

Seminole Baseball

03.01

Hunter and I went to watch the Seminoles spank Auburn.  What a gorgeous day!

Country Concert

03.01

Christy and Amber were really impressed with Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood.  Thanks Les Akers for procuring the great seats!  Take a look at the fun they had.

Cousins

03.02

Adam, Sarah and Conor goofing around.

Champion!

03.03

Erik won the Walkaround competition for Legacy Toyota!  Now he has the opportunity to compete on the Regional level this month!  Great Job!

Barbra, Sarah and Conor

03.04

Thanks for the pictures!  Click to see more!

Paintball Warriors

03.04

The Legacy gang has gone paintball crazy as Erik convinced them it is a great way to void stress.  I think I'll bring my real gun and play with them.

St. George Island Weekend

03.09

It was a cold mess and some relaxation was experienced.

Dog Clothes

03.09

Oh dear god!  Why?  I can't bear the humiliations of our Shih Tzu's!

Roto Rooter Misery

03.15

I visited Grandpa at the hospital.  Great idea!  I found another reason to demise before your body falls apart.  Here he is enjoying his favorite drink.

Glamorous Lady

03.15

This is the one and only photo of Nina at Founder’s Day: beautiful!!  Belle of the Ball.  The guys were going back to get their nametags more than once just to have her help them pin it on.

Easter Bunny Cake

03.21

Amber and Christy created a special cake for Easter.  I'm pretty sure this is similar to what Jesus and his disciples ate for the last supper.

Easter 2008

03.23

Dear God forgive us for completely desecrating your holiest of days.  Take a look at the sacrilege. Video included.

Pictures from Grandpa

03.23

Thought I would remind everyone that this is the last day of March. How did all the days go so fast? Maybe April will be slow and give us more time. Before we know it summer time will be here and then it will be fun in the sun. Have a great time in Destin, Christy, Kurt (if he gets there) Amber and Hunter. Thanks Kids for all your help on Saturday.I may need some help in the future so listen for me to call on you. Love to one and all. Mama

Be sure to listen to the McCain speech today. You will wonder how he ever got the Republican nomination. Where was a speech like this hiding during the primary? If he made this speech during the primary, he would not be the nominee. I fear for the USA. I blame the American people. What do you think? let me hear your voices. By the way, did you know that two former Chief's of Staff and 34 generals support Hillbilly.

What are we? Little pieces of nothing! We are like the grains of sand on the beach. From even the distance if a few feet, we are indistinguishable from all the rest. Yet, take one grain of sand away, and the beach is the less. We are all part of the whole. But, look closer. Examine each grain of and see that we are all unique. None of us is the same.

Lake Iamonia. A foolish young man drowned after being thrown from his boat. Guess what! There were life jackets in the boat but they were not worn. That is like not wearing your seat belt. (will you stop before the accident occurs so you can put on your belt?) Oh yes, officers, we have our life jackets in the boat but we do not intend to have an accident. How has the human race lasted so long? DUH

But, if there is a GOD, and I choose to believe there is, there is sublime love. The Bible says that God is love. And if one believes in God, they must also believe that God loves us. That love is the true and only love and has nothing to do with lust. What do you think?

If love is so great and what we all are searching for, how come we are all so unhappy when we are in love? Is love not just lust, packaged in a more beautiful word? It is all about the birds and bee's. If we did not have lust for some beautiful chick, there would be no human race. Do birds love one another? do dogs fall in love? Are dogs jealous? You bet. Buddy loves me cause I am his food source. When he is not sleeping, he is watching me to see if I have a snack for him. When one of you comes between Buddy and me, he is jealous and gets closer to me. He would even protect me if necessary. But is that love? is he capable of love? You bet! The other night, when I was raving mad in pain, Buddy came up to the bed and put his head on my out stretched hand. Is that compassion? I choose to believe it is.

Well, not every subject is acceptable. Can't discuss religion or politics. Why ruin a good party?

What a wonderful Easter family get-together At some parties, the attendees soon get into little tight groups where they chat about their specific topics. There are those who talk shop. There are those who talk this topic and that topic. Not our family. Rather than segment, we come together into a tight little group. No one is in charge. There is no topic of the day. There are no holds barred. Any topic is acceptable. That is why our meetings are so fun. Thank you Christy and Kurt... Mama and I had a wonderful time and thank you for hosting the Easter Party. Food was great, conversation was exciting and the egg hunt was fun. Love always, Dad

EASTER MORNING! This is the day that changed the world forever. It is the most difficult to understand and few if any will ever understand completetly. It takes faith and few have that faith. But, if you do it will change your life.

Belief is all about faith. It is about the Resurrection. If you do not believe in that, then the rest is just a great story.

How many know the story of Easter? Ask your family if they know. It is all about the Easter bunny and egg searches of course. Why do all commentaries begin with, "well...?"

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, ''Wow, what a ride!'' Anonymous

My New Job

After all my years of having fun,

Not a care in the world, I just sat in the sun,

But now all of that has come to pass,

I got a job and can no longer sit on my ass!

Every day I’ll dress up nice, So my customers won’t think I have lice,

I’ll mix the drinks and hand out beer, And take a sip when my boss isn’t near,

But I’ll work hard all day long, Listening to my favorite song,

And when the day is finally through, I’ll go home and eat some beef stew! .

$4,500.00 an hour? Now that is good wages. Does that pay for workers comp also? There are few professions that can boast those wages. What benefits come with the job?

Dear Mary Ann Lindley, reference your column on to be a Republican in the Sunday 9 March Democrat. Welcome to the world. You have discovered what made America great. Government did not help the Pilgrims. Government did not help the Pioneers. They did it the old fashioned way. They worked for it. As long as government gives fish to hungry people, they will never learn how to fish. Yes, Mary Ann, not only is it “Easier and more fun to be a Republican.” IT IS! Come on over, and join us. VOTE REPUBLICAN. Joe Bowman 3180 Lookout Trail Tallahassee, Fl 32309 850 894 0387 Joe@Actnuts.com

GOALS AND DREAMS BY AMBER Never give up on your goals, Even if in them are holes, They will one day come true, So do not get blue, No matter how your life unfolds, Never give up on your dreams, Even if they wind along like streams, The harder you try, The higher you’ll fly, until the day you die!
