Great Great Great! Those pictures are so very precious. I can remember when my Mom wanted to take pictures with her old box camera. It was a chore that some avoided. But she managed to take them anyway and now they are priceless. Because it is a "moment in time". You order time to stand still. "And at a moment's bidding, time stands still". Kurt, Actnuts is one of the berst things you ever created. I love you, my son, Dad
When you were young, and you called for help, we came and we tried to comfort you. Now you are adults and we cry for help and you come to us to comfort us. Role reversal... Who ever would have thought it would come to it? We appreciate your tender love and your comfort. What a great family. This is what it should be.
What a beautiful autumn day. Mama, Buddy and I walked along Centerville Road on the nature walk. This is what love is all about. I hope you all live a long life and be able to be together as your parents are. It is not wealth. It is not anything that society considers happiness. It is just love and that is what we all are searching for. All we need now is HEALTH, and money can't buy that. I love my wife and I love my family.Oh happy day!

Are you a confrontationist? In my opinion, most people are not. They don’t want to get into verbal battles with anyone. When we meet someone who always states opinions on topics that differ from ours, we tend to steer clear of them. It is more comfortable to discuss pleasantries, like, “How are you?” or, “What’s new?” However, we really don’t want to hear the real answer. People who tell it like it is are those we avoid. So, what can we talk about? Your answer tells a lot about you. What can we talk about? Not much these days. We are mostly intolerant of the opinions of others. If I don’t’ agree with you I don’t want to associate with you and if you don’t think the same as I do we can’t be friends. We used to say, you can’t discuss religion, or politics. But these days there is a host of other topics that are taboo also. As an example, You can’t discuss the war: He: We have to stay the course. We must win this war or no one will ever trust the USA again. Remember Viet Nam? We lost that war and now the Democrats want us to lose Iraq also. She: Iraq is an immoral war and we are loosing thousands of American boys in that God forsaken place. Bring the boys home. I hate Bush. Result, neither will ever change their minds and further discussion is worthless. Can’t discuss politics: She: “I am going to vote for Hilary. She is a woman and we girls can do things that men can’t do. The men have screwed up this country for years. We need a change. He: “The four worst words in our country today are, “Hillary, Commander in Chief”. I wouldn’t trust that b—ch with the safety of the USA. Any Republican except Ron Paul is better than Hilary is”. Result: Neither of these people will ever speak to each other again. Can’t discuss religion: She: “I do not believe in God. It is stupid to believe in the Bible. It is just a book of foolishness. He: “I believe in God and Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us the right way to live”. Result: Neither of these people agrees, and, there is no reason to argue further. Can’t discuss health: She: “I believe in Roe Vs Wade. I am pro- choice and I fear that if a Republican gets to be President in 08, the right of a woman to chose will be taken away from us. He: “I am pro- life. Every life is precious and abortion is murder. If a Democrat is the next President, abortions will murder millions of babies. Life begins at conception”. Result: Neither will ever agree with the other and they will never be friends. Can’t discuss sports: He: “I am a Noles fan and Bobby is the best coach in the land. I hope we kill the Gaiters next week. He: “Well, you are nuts, I am a Gaiter fan and I hope we beat the snot out of you at the next game”. Result: Neither of these two people will ever be able to sit on the same side of the bleachers. They are enemies and can never discuss sports in a friendly manner. Can’t discuss education: He: “Schools should teach morals and ethics and the Bible is the best source for those subjects. We are a Christian nation and the Democrats have taken God out of the schools. The end of religious training in our schools is one of the biggest problems in our country today”. She: “Keep God out of the schools! Remember separation between church and state? I am an atheist and I do not want my kids to have to listen to crap from the religions right”. Result: Neither of these two people will ever be able to agree. They can’t be social friends. Can’t discuss the media: She: “Fox is the best channel on cable TV. I love to watch Hannity beat up that lib Colms on the program every night. FOX is the only fair and balanced program on the air. I can’t stand ABC, CBS, NBC or MSNBC. And I despise NPR. It is so biased toward the left and there is no balance. It is the voice of libs, fags, illegal and Blacks. The news programs are so left wing and it is a shame that I have to give even one dollar towards NPR”. He: “You have to be kidding. FOX is just a shill for the religious right. They are the voice of the GOP. I listen to the Prairie Home Companion every week and look forward to reading the column written by Garrison Keiller in the Democrat. He speaks for me about that criminal, Bush”. Result: These two people are diametrically opposed to each other, Can’t discuss music: She: “I just bought a rap CD and wonder if you would like to come over to listen to it tonight?” She: “I hate rap music. It sounds like a bunch of jungle bunnies up in the trees. I am a Country Western fan and the only music I want to listen to is a singer like Johnny Cash”. Result: neither of these women can be friends. Can we discuss the weather? Surely we can agree on that topic? He: “When ALGORE won the Peace Prize, I was so thrilled. Have you seen The Inconvenient Truth? What a great movie. Mr. Gore should run for President. He will keep the glaciers from melting and the polar bears from drowning”. He: “You must be nuts. If there is global warming, and I seriously doubt that, we humans are not responsible for it. I am not going to ride a bike to work. ALGORE is a nut case and the Peace Prize is just as political as the Emmys”. Result: these people will never be able to discuss the weather or respect each others opinions. Comment: There must be many other topics we can’t discuss but there are the main ones. So what do we talk about? You tell me. Of course, there are lots of people who have no opinions, and, they are too boring to associate with. JRB Ps:The above comments do not necessarily represent the opinions of the Web Master
It was great to see everyone at the birthday party last evening. It is too bad we don't do it more often. But it seems everyone has a busy life and that is the way it should be. I hope that Amber is feeling better this week and get's back into action. I enjoyed the good food and I thank all of you that helped prepare it. I did miss Barbra and her family being there but things do change. They do plan to be here at Christmas time so we have that to look forward to. Hope all have a good week and that all stay well and safe. Love and Hugs.
CONSERVEJOEBLOG: Is it proper to ask your honey if they love you? I think not. That would be presumptuous on your part and you should, or you better know the answer. Well, that is MHO. That would be like asking your guests if they enjoyed the event. If they did not have a good time they would be embarrassed to tell you the truth and probably would not say it. So they might have to lie. If they did have a good time and they were too dumb to say so, then you would also put them in a spot by asking them if they had a good time. So, we should not ask our honey if they love us. That is a moot point and we should already know the answer. But, it is proper for us to say, “I love you”. (And, often) The words are sweet to the ear. They enhance the love process. If you love your honey, say so. Don’t let the cat get your tongue. So, I suggest, it s not only the thing to do, but is the smart thing to do. You can never say I love you too often. Now, the recipient of those beautiful words must know how to accept them. Don’t sit there in dumb silence. What do you say when your honey says, “I love you” The appropriate answer is, “I love you too”.
POLE BOATING ON THE SUSQUEHANNA: One of the best memories in my life was pole boating on the Susquehanna River. One flood season when Pee Wee and I were playing on the river bank, the river was running fast, a small boat came floating down the river. Since I subscribed to the rule of the sea which I learned from Treasure Island, I decided to get it. And so I swam out and retrieved it. The boat was just what I was looking for and was about 12 feet long and only a few feet wide. I examined the boat and upset it on the river bank to see its condition. It could not have been very old for the paint was still in pretty good condition on the floor. I dried it out and inspected the caulking. It looked tight and the joints were good. When the little boat was completely dry, I floated it to see if it was water tight. Everything looked OK to me and I asked Pee Wee to see what he thought. He also agreed that it was a good boat. (Finders keepers, loser’s weepers). I never could have afforded to buy a new boat because it would have cost over a hundred dollars, even back in the forties. That much money to me was like a million bucks and I never would have asked my Dad to spend that much money on me. I am sure he had the money, but I wouldn’t even have considered asking him for the money. I knew all about pole boats because our neighbor, Ed Osman, made pole boats in his wood shop. I had spent hours watching him build boats and I knew there was a lot of work involved in building a boat. It was a long complicated procedure because the boards had to be shaped and bent and the boat had to be caulked. Now, I must confess that I had never poled a boat before and my River Rat buddy, Bill Haines, showed how easy it looked. I had not considered that I first had to learn balance. If you remember what it was like to ride a bike for the first time, you will know how hard, “easy” was. So, I borrowed a pole and stood in the back of the little boat. I was very unsteady back in the rear because the boat was so narrow. But I decided that I had to learn by experience. I put the long pole into the water and pushed. The pole stuck in the sand of the river and I fell into the water. All my buddies laughed and called out names to me. But worst of all, I was so embarrassed I could have died. Then, Bill Haines recovered the boat for me, because it had shot away from me. He showed me how to balance the boat and to show off, he ran from one end to the other like a jack rabbit. In the next few days, I learned to balance in the boat and to pole it along. As time went by I ventured out on the river and headed for an island. There were many islands in our section of the river and I had often dreamed of being ship wrecked on one of them as in of Mark Twain’s stories. Some islands were very small and others very big and covered with trees. I liked the small ones best of all, because they were covered with sand. At some places in the summer, the river was so shallow that I could get out of the boat and wade and pull my boat behind me. At other places, the river was very deep and I could see big carp fish swimming close to the bottom. I was in Heaven. I loved the mountains, but the river was like flying a plane. I could go where ever I wanted. In my boat and I would pole up the river and then float down to Millersburg. Pee Wee and I often poled our boats side by side and it was a thrill beyond words. It was freedom! We would pick a destination and head out early in the morning. I still had my paper route so my river adventures had to work around my paper route schedule. But, soon, I was spending every free moment on the river. Pee Wee and I made believe that we were Marines and we would anchor our boats off of an island and swim in to kill Japs. We would put a stick in our mouth to pretend they were knives and we used larger sticks to represent a rifle. If I could, I would like to go back just one day and pole across the river to the other side. But those days are over and now they are just a fond memory. When I went away to Valley Forge, I just parked my boat along the river with a cement block as an anchor so that the boat would not just float away. I knew that someone would get it and perhaps have as much fun as I had. Then later when I was married to Bea, we had a summer to spend in Millersburg before I went to the Army. We bought an old pole boat for a few dollars and we spent many hours out on the river. What good times. JRB

Go for it Amber, we all are cheering for you. Love Grandpa
On this wet Friday morning it is dark and rainy. Buddy wants out but won't go out in the rain. Joe is still sleeping. I am up and about and ready for the day. The cleaning girls will soon be here. Now to stay out of their way. I have much to do as you know I have not been doing much for the past two weeks. Not that I will get much done but it is there to do and only I can do it. I am still on restriction as must wear this body brace at least until the end of November. My back is ready for it in the a.m. I do not sleep with it on. Sometimes I do nap with it on but it is not comforable to do. The pain is gone and I am thankful for that.I will be very thankful if it stays away so will not complain about wearing the brace if that is what it takes. So much for me. I am looking forward to seeing everyone on Sunday at the Shipley's home. I do remember when I use to do all these get togethers but am thankful that all of you have taken over. That is what families are all about and I know that we are a good family. We will plan to still do our Christmas party. I hope that all have had a good week and will get some rest over the weekend. I love each and every one.

DO YOU LOVE ME? - Lyrics (`Tevye`:) DO YOU LOVE ME? (`Golde`:) DO I WHAT? (`Tevye`:) DO YOU LOVE ME? (`Golde`:) DO I LOVE YOU?! WITH OUR DAUGHTERS GETTING MARRIED AND THIS TROUBLE IN THE TOWN, YOU`RE UPSET, YOU`RE WORN OUT, GO INSIDE, GO LIE DOWN. MAYBE IT`S INDIGESTION. (`Tevye` - spoken): GOLDE, I`M ASKING YOU A QUESTION (sung): DO YOU LOVE ME? (`Golde`:) YOU`RE A FOOL! (`Tevye` - spoken): I KNOW -- (sung): BUT DO YOU LOVE ME? (`Golde`:) DO I LOVE YOU? (`Tevye` - spoken): WELL? (`Golde` - sung): FOR TWENTY-FIVE YEARS I`VE WASHED YOUR CLOTHES, COOKED YOUR MEALS, CLEANED YOUR HOUSE, GIVEN YOU CHILDREN, MILKED THE COW. AFTER TWENTY-FIVE YEARS, WHY TALK ABOUT LOVE RIGHT NOW? (`Tevye` - spoken): GOLDE, (sung): THE FIRST TIME I MET YOU WAS ON OUR WEDDING DAY. I WAS SCARED. (`Golde`:) I WAS SHY. (`Tevye`:) I WAS NERVOUS. (`Golde`:) SO WAS I. (`Tevye`:) BUT MY FATHER AND MY MOTHER SAID WE`D LEARN TO LOVE EACH OTHER, AND NOW I`M ASKING, (spoken): GOLDE, (sung): DO YOU LOVE ME? (`Golde`:) I`M YOUR WIFE. (`Tevye` - spoken): I KNOW, (sung): BUT DO YOU LOVE ME? (`Golde`:) DO I LOVE HIM? (`Tevye` - spoken): WELL? (`Golde` - sung): FOR TWENTY-FIVE YEARS I`VE LIVED WITH HIM, FOUGHT WITH HIM, STARVED WITH HIM, TWENTY-FIVE YEARS MY BED IS HIS. IF THAT`S NOT LOVE, WHAT IS? (`Tevye`:) THEN YOU LOVE ME? (`Golde`:) I SUPPOSE I DO. (`Tevye`:) AND I SUPPOSE I LOVE YOU TOO. (both:) IT DOESN`T CHANGE A THING, BUT EVEN SO, AFTER TWENTY-FIVE YEARS IT`S NICE TO KNOW.
I am ME. Would a rose by any other name smell as sweet? As Amber wrote, live each day as though it were your last. Do you love me? if you do, say it now. you will be better for saying it, and I will be the better, hearing it. You can never say, "I love you" too often. The most successful people were praised frequently as children. At the end of the month, I will be 77 years young. I do not know how much longer I have to live, but I do not care because I will live until I die. And then I will live on as long as you remember me.
Who are you? If you loose an arm do you still have your identity? How much do you have to have cut out before you are no longer you? It seems to me that each of us has many identities. Who we are depends on who we relate to. I am one thing to my son, another to my daughter, another to my wife, another to my work associates, another to my boss and on and on. To thine own self be true.
Oh my dearest Amber, Grandma and I are so very proud of you. What a beautiful resume. You brought tears to my eyes. We can remember you as a little baby, then as cute little girl and now as a beautiful talented young woman. You must succeed in life with that attitude. You hit every nail on the head. Go for it! Love always, your Grandpa
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NINA, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR NINA, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU < (singing happy birthday song)) Oh to be as young as you are. You have the rest of your life to live, so, get on with it. Love Dad
Love Dad
*****This is what Amber wrote for her FSU application********** One thing that most people know about me is that I am extremely athletic. I am a very dedicated and determined swimmer. I started swimming in the middle of 9th grade, which is later than most people. Before swimming I competed in gymnastics for 9 years, but I am 5'11 which is very tall for a gymnast. I had to work extra hard just to stay in the same level as my gymnastics friends, because I was so long and lanky. After getting many injuries I finally decided to stop gymnastics and find another sport. I had always loved to swim so I picked up swimming with the Capital City Barracudas just a week after quitting gymnastics. When high school began I swam on the Lincoln swim team but I wasn’t as fast as I knew I could be, so I joined ATAC. On ATAC I proved my willingness to train by practicing every single day. Swimming was my sole focus and that winter I swam with the senior program (a total of 150,000 yards in 2 weeks), and got noticed by the senior coach, Terry Maul. From then on I practiced with the senior group which had a time consuming training cycle. We practiced twice a day, everyday. We swam every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 6:00 am -8:30 am and then in the afternoons from 3:30-5:30 pm. Then on Tuesdays and Thursdays we lifted weights and did abdominal work from 5:30am-7:00am then swam from 7:00am -8:30 am and the same time in the afternoons as on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. On Saturdays we lifted weights from 6:00am-7:30am and swam from 7:00am -10:00am. Finally we got the rest of the weekend off. It took a while for my body to get used to the hard training but I finally got used to it and I started to improve drastically. Then recently I hit a slump and I’m slowly but surely working my way through it and it has made me more determined than ever before! I know if I keep working I will keep improving and I would be a great addition to the FSU team. I am willing to train and I love to push myself. Besides swimming I have done some volunteer work. I helped the challenger swimmers with their strokes on some Saturdays during the summer. I also was a timer for the summer developmental swim meets and I was the Lincoln High school Boys Lacrosse statistics keeper for my 11th and 12th grades years. So far I haven’t had a real paying job because I am so involved in other activities. I spend a lot of time with my wonderful family and I am very involved in school. I maintain over a 4.0 grade point average so I was admitted in the National Honors Society. I also am in the service club, Civinettes. This year I am even the captain of the Lincoln swim team. For 3 out of my 4 years swimming at Lincoln I have been given the award of most valuable swimmer. I am a well rounded and outgoing person and I would love to join FSU and continue on my way to a successful career and life. One of my all time favorite quotes was said by the motivational speaker, Les Brown. He said "Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars". This quote basically describes how I try to live my life: by setting the highest possible goals. I don’t think anyone should settle for anything less than what they really want. At school I always aim for not just good grades but for great grades. I never want to sell myself short and I know everyone in the world is capable of anything they put their minds to. When I get older and look back on my life I want to be able to say, “I really did live every day like it was my last and try everything in order to reach my full potential". And the more you expect out of yourself the more you will be determined and motivated to reach your goal, whatever it may be. Some of my personal goals are to be happy and out going everyday, to never have a dull moment, not to worry about what people think of me, and to work my absolute hardest at every single swim practice. I know that the hours of practice that I swim everyday are a great opportunity. Those few hours are only there once and I can’t slack off if I want to keep getting best times and competing in higher level meets. I not only go to every single practice but I also put in 110 percent every set. I started swimming a lot later than many people I know but that won’t stop me from making my way to the top. But I didn’t always think this way; especially in 11th grade. People used to tell me that I had no life because all I did was study, spend time with my family, and swim, swim, swim. I never went out to party or had time for boyfriends like my other friends. Soon I began to wonder what it would be like to have fun all the time and not worry about perfect grades and the stress of performing well in swimming. Soon I lost faith in myself and instead of A's I received B's and I would miss a swim practice at least once a week. I thought my goals were unreachable and soon I wasn’t the happy mood brightening person that I used to be. But then I finally realized that even if I don’t reach my goals exactly as I visualized in my mind, I still gave it my all. I now know that success and happiness are all in your frame of mind and that you truly create your own universe. Setting goals that exceed your expectations will help you become a hard working individual with the dedication to achieve whatever you put your mind to. Because even if if miss your intended goal, you still have set yourself up to live an amazing life no matter what you end up doing.
SUSQUEHANNA Memories: The River was a part of my life from the very beginning. It was one of the three barriers to Millersburg. The mountains formed two legs of the box. The Susquehanna River formed the other leg. As the glaciers melted during the Ice Age, the rushing river cut a deep trench across the countryside and eventually ran into the Atlantic Ocean. As early men saw the value of such an important waterway, the communities along the river were influenced by the River. Commerce flowed along the river from the time of the cave men to the Native Americans, to the time when huge rafts, manned by rough pioneers, brought lumber and furs from the headwaters of the Susquehanna to the communities along the river. The River influenced my life also. I was only five years old when my Dad took my Mother and me to see that the river had frozen fast. It was a terribly cold winter in 1935 and when people were sure that it was safe, they crossed the river on the ice. One cold winter day, my Dad took me on a sled and we ventured out onto the ice. Cars sped beside us over the ice, and then, when the drivers put on the breaks, the cars skidded over the ice. It made a great impression on me for I have never forgotten it. Then our family went down in the early spring, when the ice began to break up. The noise was frightening to me and we could hear the huge ice packs cracking and exploding way up at our home on Center Street. Then one day, Dad loaded us all in the 1928 Buick and we drove down the hill to the river bank. As we watched, the ice packs cracked with a terrible roar and shards of ice were thrown up into the air. Some of the icebergs were as big as a house and they crashed into each other and made a dreadful sight. Again, it was a scene that I never forgot. As the ice flowed down river, it crashed into the rocks at the bend, where Berry’s Mountain was gouged away from the river valley, and as we watched, the flow scraped the islands away like they were small objects in the path of the ice. But the spectacle was not over yet. Soon, the water that melted with the warm weather and that had backed up during the ice packs began to swell into a flood. The water rose and the river went over its banks and flooded the homes along the river. It was a frightening sight, for the river raced along at great speed and was filled with big trees and houses and boats and all sorts of flotsam and jetsam. The high water mark is still evident on many homes along the river. So, the Susquehanna River influenced my life by letting me know what the wilderness was all about. As I grew older, I spent many hours on the river. But that is another memory. The Susquehanna River still ranks as one of the most important places in my life. JRB

Berry’s Mountain MEMORIES: There is another site that is one of my fondest places. It is located on Berry’s Mountain, across the valley from Mahantango Mountain. At one time, when I was young, I could see the place from the attic window in our house in Millersburg. During the Ice Age, when the glaciers scraped the tops off of the Appalacian Mountain Range, it often deposited huge boulders on the mountains. One such place contains hundreds of boulders, many the size of a house, all over the place. I remember it as though it were yesterday. It looked like the devils playground and my buddies and I played all over the gigantic rocks. We made believe that they were tanks and we were Marines hanging on to the vehicles and shooting Jap’s when they raised their heads. But there is a special place where we boys often went to smoke our “Baccky” It was and probably still is, known as Lovers Rock. The rock is perched on the top of the Berry’s Mountain and it over looks Millersburg. It has many comfortable depressions where two people might lay and do romantic things and you know why it is called Lovers Rock. It is the ultimate in make believe and we boys sat under the over hang and smoked our corn cob pipes, sat around a fire and talked of how we were going to fight wild Indians, like old mountain men. Oh my, they were the good old days and I will never forget them. My best friend was Pee Wee Daniels and we thought of Lovers Rock as our special place. If only I could climb up to that rock today, and look down on the little village where I had so much fun? But it is not possible and so I must be content with my memories. JRB
When you consider the intelligence of the American people, remember that 6% do not believe that the USA went to the mooon. algore won the peace prize. WOW! just think of that. Many Americans believe that it is a good thing to have FREE (shouting) health care, even if it is not as good as the present system. WOW, that is amazing. I thihnk that at a minimum, 75% of the American people are stupid ((ignorant) that is, they are not smart enough to believe the facts. 50% do not vote, so they do not deserve the benefits of freedom. 20% vote democrat and that is self evident. Then at least 10% are ignorant of what is going on in the world. Americans know more of what the contents of a BIG MAC than the TEN COMMANDMENTS. The Founding Fathers believed that A Republican form of government (That is what we have in the USA) would only work if the populace was educated.

OMG, I just read my last post and I think my mind is going bad. It is soo bad. I will have to write everything off line and then spell check it and then, just maybe then it will be correct. Please forgive me.
I sure hope you are right. But then the world used to say that about the Germans before WW2. They said, just look at the Germans, their music is so beautiful. Their literature is some of the best ever written. They could never fall for the crap that Hitler spreads. But they world read Mein Kamph and thought, this is just the work of one mad man. He is so funny. And the world laughed as Poland fell. And the world laughed as France fell. And America slept on 7 December 1941 as the Japanese struck at Pearl Harbor. Some times, free people forget that if you want peace, you must prepare for war. And we forget that one man makes a difference. Awake America! get smart! Remember, FREEDOm IS NOT FREE.
Have faith. The media only represents a small percentage of americans. The free people of the United States will prevail.
ConservJoeBlog: America is finished! What do we make anymore? Huh? Why, we make pizza. Check you clothes out to see where they are made. China, Taiwan, India, We used to supply the world with goods. Now they make their own and send the rest to us. How many of you drive a Toyota? Or an Audi? Or, some other brand that is made overseas? How often have you heard that rant? Why, I have said it myself. Well let me tell you, that steady stream of crap comes from the Blame America First, crowd. Just listen to any of the alphabet media. They tell us that no one can trust the government or the courts or the churches or the medical profession or, well I could go on and on, ad infinitum. Most of it is all crap. We have our problems, there is no country that is perfect and if you think there is, buy a ticket to that country and go live there. But, there are millions of great Americans out there who are just plain outstanding, yes, young people who are in research and those in the automobile industry and in the courts and every area of the government and in law enforcement, and every other area you can name. We are the world leaders in almost every area. Who makes the pharmaceuticals that are used by every other country? Who has the best Armed Forces in the world? We do. Is the glass half filled or half empty? How you see the USA depends upon your estimation of our Country. All of us must recognize that it is not “blame America first”, it is AMERICA FIRST. Look around you, how many outstanding young people do you know? Just in our own family there are so many superior young people and middle agers. Be proud of the USA! Speak out for our country! When someone else bad mouths the USA, tell them they are filled with, well you know the best words to use. Liberals, those on the left, hate the USA. Well, that is my rant for the day. HAVE A NICE DAY
ConservJoeBlog I know no one reads my stuff except to see if I misspelled a word, so I can pretty well say anything I want. Thus, here is one of my most radical rants. I consider that liberalism/democratism is a form of mental illness. Look at their contestants for president. Anyone who votes for any of them should seek help. Now, if Hellary becomes president, it will be the direct result of ignorant liberals. I could and would back up my ideas on the subject. HAVE A NICE DAY
It is the forth day after surgery and Mama is doing just fine. She can navigate without her walker most of the time but she had great pain last night and spent the night on my chair. Oh well, sleep is sleep. When you are riding or driving, use the circle method of checking danger spots. Remember to always watch your six and never never never forget that it is dangerous on the highway. In the Art of War, if two forces are engaged in combat, it is best for one force to break contact first before both are destroyed. Always drive with your lights on.
Grandma we are glad that you are doing ok after your surgery. Know that we are thinking of you.
BEWARE!! Who knows all about you? You know, the little secret things that no one excepting those behind your closed doors? It may be your family doctor…Question: (in private, no you are jot present) Question: Do your parents get along? Answer, well, they fight and call themselves bad names. Question: Do your parents drink adult beverages? Answer: Don’t know what that means but dad comes home drunk and breaks up the place. Question, are you afraid of your dad when he is drunk? Answer: You bet. He yells at me and mom and once he grabbed me and he hugged so tight that I lost my breath. Question: Does your dad have a gun? Answer: He has a lot of guns. Question: What kind of guns does your dad have? Answer: well, there are so many that we don’t really know. I know he has pistols and rifles and shotguns and plenty of bullets. Question: Where does he keep the guns? Answer: He has a place in the garage and I know exactly where it is. Doctor: Thanks so much for everything. I have examined you and find you are OK to play basketball….. (In a few days, a police officer calls while the family is having dinner.) Police officer: Good evening mam, may I come in and ask your husband a few questions? For further information, read 1984 BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING
Mama made the night OK but Doctor Cuff says she must stay another night.
Thank God that Mama is OK after her surgery. I hope the pain is gone. Thank all of you for your love. Always, Dad
I looked closer and see that it is the Mosberg rifle that loads from the stock. What a great rifle. I love the smell of gunpowder in the morning. I am up early to take Mama to the hospital. We didn't get much sleep last night cause the anticipation in making us wait. I pray that she gets relief from the terrible pain that is in her back and legs. Love Dad
I just returned from my ride out into the country. I love the wind in my face and the smell of nature. I love my bike and enjoy the thought of riding. Then when I am on the bike, I love the thrill of the ride. Then, afterward I enjoy remembering all the thrills of the ride. GOING SOMEWHERE IS NOT WHY I RIDE, RIDING IS WHY I GO. Life is great. This month I will be 77 years young and life has not been better. I hope Mama has a successful procedure tomorrow. I know you all will be thinking of her.
Is that a Mosberg single shot rifle? Where have I seen that before? I love to see our son Kurt, and grandson Hunter plus our grandson Erik and Amber on the range. Family is what it is all about. Grandma and I did our job. LIFE IS GREAT
