It was great to see everyone so often. It was a awesome Thanksgiving to have you all here in our home and loved all events and celebrations of birthdays. Now things will be quiet for a couple weeks and then we can do it again. Our special treat was having Barbra, Derek and Conor visit. thank you all for coming and being such good helpers to Joe and I. We will now be lonely so please come to see us often and also to phone in. We love you all very much.

For all you guest book readers, remember, that Thanksgiving is about being thankful, Not about buying and selling and turkey and all the other hype that has surrounded this special day.

If you think that the times they are NOT a CHANGIN', SOME companies are advertising, 'FAMILY TREES" instead of Christmas Trees..omg!! When ever I hear a store clerk wish me a "Happy Holliday", I respond, "And a Merry Christmas to you too".

VETERANS DAY, 2007. There are few who remember that, today, is really ARMISTICE DAY. When I was a boy, we honored Armistice Day in school. It was not a celebration as it is today. There were no Armistice Day sales. It was honored by a school assembly where we often had a veteran from WW2 speak about the horrors of war, or even an old veteran from WW1. The ceremony began with the posting of The Colors, and ended with TAPS. How many young people know what Taps sounds like, or its' history? Armistice Day was to mark the armistice that ended WW1 . It was on the eleventh hour, of the eleventh day, of the eleventh month. WW1 was so terrible that it was said to be the war that ended all wars. Those of us, who know history, know that was untrue. As Plato once said, only the dead have seen the end of war. So, this is Veterans Day 2007 and it honors all veterans of all wars. But, we have forgotten that is really Armistice Day. Never forget the sacrifice that a few have paid for the freedom of all. Love, Dad

Great fishing trip. You must have the right touch. I love it that you are still bonding with your family. So you are 42.. lucky you. It is the nicest time of life. You are still young enough to enjoy your family but old enough to be able to appreciate how precious life is. Some day, you will look back on these years and realize that they were really the best times of your life.CARPE DIEM.
