CommentsDearest Amber, Thank you for your beautiful poem. And, I loved it when you sang to me. I will never forget you. Never. You are so sweet and you made my seventy sixth birthday a very special one. I love you. Always, your Grandpa Joe
CommentsThey say we die three times, The first time is when we die and our heart stops and our brain dies. The second, when our spirit dies and the third is when we are forgotten.
CommentsWhat a thrill! on Thursday morning, Buddy and I were walking and I spied my Bea in the distance. Then I noticed that there were others with her. I did not know them but as we drew closer, a girl and a little boy came running to meet me. It was Sarah and Conor. I was so surprised because they were not to arrive until Friday. Well, we ran toward eachother and soon Sarah and Conor were in my arms. Then I hugged Barbra. WOW! how good can it get? I was so surprised and thrilled. Now I know how much my Mother loved her family. She could not get enough of them and they of her. I wonder how any child can not love their Mom and Dad. But there are families that hate each other and are unable to stand to be with each other. Shame on them! they will pay the price some day. In the mean time, Mama and I are enjoying the Roberson's. It is so grand to have Conor come in and jump in bed with me. Buddy loves Conor. Barbra is so pretty and Sarah is beautiful.
CommentsJOE, Have a great weekend. A card is in the mail.
CommentsHello Bowman family, I seem to not always find the time to write so much to the elder Bowmans any more as work keeps me so busy. The McKinley family is still smiling with Chris! I wish happy fall to all of you. It is even starting to rain in East Texas-- there is a God! Best to all of you, Kathy
CommentsGreat website!! very cool..
CommentsWOW! what awesome fish. You guys must have hit a school of them. I bet they tasted great. We will have to come over some time and nibble on a grouper.
CommentsHope everyone has a great week. Enjoy the cool weather. I love it. I am asking if any of you have old jeans or jeans you don't want anymore. Please offer them to me before you throw or give them away. Hope to see you all soon. Love and hugs
CommentsKurt and Hunter your fish tonight were great! I hope you had a good time deep sea fishing.
CommentsAmber Bowman, you are beautiful. You look like your Mom
CommentsHappy Birthday, Nina. You will never be as young as you are today. Mama and I have enjoyed every moment of you as our daughter.Thank you for all you have done for us over the years. When ever we needed you, you were there for us.
CommentsHappy birthday christy
Commentshey everyone!! how is everyone? im doing good. LOVE YOU!
CommentsYesterday, our youngest son arrived to do his regular job of tune up on our computers. If we paid him in dollars, we could not afford him. He is amazing. What a brilliant computer technician. Without Kurt, Mama and I would be unable to communicate. We are so lucky to have Kurt as our son. Afterall, it was Kurt who brought us into the 20 first Century.
CommentsThis morning, Mama and I got busy and went up to Thomasville road and waited for the Vietnam Wall memorial display to come by. Soon, Claude parked beside us and we all waited together. Mama tried her new camera out on the hundreds of motorcycles that escorted the memorial display that was inside a big semi trailer. It was awesome to see all the bikes and we noted that some of them had big flags attached. We may go to one of the ceremonies that begin on Friday morning and end on Sunday. I hope some of you will decide to go see one of them. Life is great and now we have dinner because Nina made some bean soup and gave us some. Love to all, Mama and Dad
CommentsI awoke on Saturday morning to hear our first born son. Buddy came in to announce his arival. Next Simon came in and I patted him. Buddy was not happy when I patted him after Simon. We spent several hours with Kim and enjoyed his visit. He looks like a senior statesman. Oh my, life is good. I wonder where my youngest son is? perhaps he he out of the country, or fishng. Oh well. Whatever. Should I remind him to visit us and install E-mail (for his Mother) and word for his Dad on the lap top? October has arrived and I know that it is my month. I will be 76 years old. Oh my! I will be a quarter of a century old. I am thinking about my legacy. (not Toyota)What will history say about me?
Commentsdad please put my homecoming pictures up please
CommentsGood Luck at your swim meet Amber! Go Girl Go! and I hope you feel better.
CommentsIt is autumn and there is a cool breeze in the air. Autumn has a special meaning to me because I loved to see the leaves color and hear the geese fly over. Memories of the past that make life more sweet. Vivian Gluck once told me to "Smell the flowers along the way." How true, her words are still sharp in my mind. Autumn is a time to change gears and move into another season. I hope all of you will enjoy the cool weather. Love, Dad
