Did any of you enjoy today as much as I did? This is why I came to Florida. Life is Great! CARPE DIEM!
You bet, we are going to St Patties day bash. See ya there.
Lauren is driving a Toyota! Is everyone going to the St. Patrick Day's bash on the 17th of March. I am. Christy and Hunter will be in Destin though. Hope all is well.
Is Lauren driving a Toyota?
Hey Claude, now it is your turn to go under the knife. We all wish you well.
A long time ago, a man invented the first computer. The first question the man asked the computer was, "Is there a God?" the computer answered, "There is now!"
Today, our son Kurt came over and we cut some trees down. Well, Kurt cut them down and I helped to haul them away. We worked together, sometimes talking, sometimes just working together. How great life is!
One who loves his job, never works a day in his life. (Old Chinese proverb)
Happiness is, finding Kurt sitting at our computer on a Sunday morning. It is a cold damp morning, but having our kids come to see us makes the sun shine.
This is why we came to Florida. Well, it was to be with the family but the weather was important also. How do those people live up there? huh?
Thanks for going to the concert last night, Nina and Claude. It was alot of fun.
I would much rather go hunting with Dick than go across a bridge with Teddy Kennedy.
Who is that beautiful young woman in the water? Why that is Amber Bowman. She is a winner.
Hey, it's winter. What do you expect? huh? in a few weeks it will be spring in Tally and one of the most beautiful times in Dixie. Life is good!
It has been almost a month since I updated actnuts. I added a few of Amber. We will miss you Jen. Erik is forgiven. Time for another season.
Welcome home Derek. We enjoyed our visit with you last evening. How quickly the year went by. We are all so proud of you. And we are proud of Barbra also. The both of you did your duty. We all love you. SEMPER FI!
Sorry to write so late. I don't sleep anymore. If anyone wants to say hi, I am always emailing. The phone is still hard to use as my voice betrays me. Anyway, try jheddish@comcast.net. It would be nice to hear from some friends and family. It's lonely here.
Thank you Bowmans and Shipleys for remembering me. Looking at my photos reminds me of why I always shied away from the camera! You know...you could remove those photos of me that are not so flattering! (the majority, or so I hope I don't look like that) Thanks for the good times. You will always be my "family" in my heart. Sorry I left so sudden. Erik left me no choice. Forgive him, as I can't. Love you dearly. Happy valentine' s Day! Kisses and hugs-Jenn
Let it be known that we are so proud of Lauren Bowman. She is staying with Sarah, Adam and Conor while Barbra is off meeting with her Derek. Lauren is mature far beyond her age. She says and does the right things. This is an experience for her that may influence her life for years to come. lauren, we love you and are proud of you. The positive up-bringing that you display reflects positively on your parents. Love, Grandma and Grandpa.
Welcome home Derek. We missed the Kilmartin Bowman's last evening. It was great to see and talk with everyone else. Thanks for the help. Hope that all have a good week. We will be thinking about everyone. I need to be told what Sugar Glider is. Love to all
The kids bought Christy a Sugar Glider for Valentine's Day. What a lucky mom to have such loving children to consider her for such a dear gift.
What is better than meeting Christy and Kurt in Publics on a Sunday morning. Life is great! We heard from Barbra and she made it up to Camp Le Jeune and was awaiting Derek's arrival. Oh me oh my life is great! Love to all. Dad
This weekend, Barbra and Derek are repeating a ritual that is as old as the art of war. They are meeting each other after a long period of separation and reestablishing the role of the family that consists of a husband and wife and children. Every fighting man that I know has repeated this ritual. The role of the military wife is as important as that of the fighting man. Waiting as as difficult as being in a combat zone. Both Barbra and Derek, and just as importantly, the children will have to have a period of readjustment where they must relearn how to act as a family. My prayers go with the Roberson's. Lovingly, Mama and Dad.
Barbra is on her way to meet with Derek at Camp Lejeune. And, somewhere out there, Derek is rushing to meet with his Barbra. Hurry home Derek. We are proud of you and thank you for your service to our country. And, we love you.
I love a rainy day! life is so good, I am afraid I will not be able to stand it. Where is everyone? busy? Our Lake (Lake Kilkee) is up to the banck. I may launch my canoe one of these days/ How much fun Hunter and I had on that old canoe. One day we paddled across the lake and all of a sudden Buddy came behind us. Finally I had to fish Buddy out of the lake. I loved to take Hunter for a walk. We had some great times together. I miss picking up Amber and taking her to swim class. Now everyone but Conor is growing up and we are left behind. Even Conor is leaving. Someone had better get a baby for Mama and I to raise. I guess we better have a wedding first. Love Dad
Yes Virginia, there are still good men in the world! Today as I ate breakfast, I watched the acceptance ceremony of Supreme Court Justice Alito. In my humble opinion, Judge Alito is a good man. I believe that he will not be an activist judge and that he will not wish to legislate from the bench.
Sorry to hear about your Father death Norman. He was a young man. Glad you were able to spend some time with him. It is never easy to lose a parent. Take care. We often think about our years in Mt. Holly. Kurt's parents, Bea and Joe Bowman
Norman, So sorry to hear about your father. I hope you and he were able to enjoy your time together. I looked around your website and see that you too were sick. I hope all is well. You look great! Please email me so we can catch up. kurtbowman@actnuts.com
Kurt, sorry I have not been in touch for months. Dad was diagnosed with cancer in October and he passed away January 16 (his birthday). I left my job to spend as much time as possible with him. He never suffered and worked until the second week of December. This is a link to his obituary on my web site: http://www.normanzimmerman.com/Dad.dwt I hope to talk to you soon. Norman
