Hey, Grandpa said it all with our morning with Christy, Amber and Hunter. We need to do these things more often. Conor had a great time with Amber and Hunter. I do think you Amber and Hunter for helping out with him and keeping up to Conor. He sure can run. I still feel sorry for the poor old pig, cow and mules. Smiles. I agree that the white tigers are just beautiful. Conor must of had a dream on the way home about the goose. He went to sleep and he suddently work up crying. I finally ask him if the goose got him as he was pointing to his arm. He shook his head yes. His poor little heart was pounding so hard and it took me some minutes to calm him down and he did go back to sleep and slept soundly for two good hours. Tell us about the baby deer. Love you guys.
Great pictures of Wakulla River. It is a fun place to go and the pictures are beautiful.
What a wonderful day Mama and I had today. We met Christy, Amber and Hunter at the Natural History Museum. We had gone to see the white tigers but they were cleaning their water pool and the tigers were resting. So, off we went to see the other animals. First came the eagles and the hawk. Then we watched the otters swimming in their pool. Then came the deer followed by the wolves. Conor was thoroughly excited. Best of all, Amber and Hunter took good care of Conor and he walked the entire way. We completed the rest of the tour and then stopped for lunch. After we had eaten, Amber and Hunter entertained Conor on the sliding board. We went to see the cow and found the poor thing to be boring. While Conor was looking into the chicken coup, the goose looked back at thim. Conor was frightenend and he shivered. At last we went back to see the white tigers and found them to be beautiful animals. It was a great day and we look forward to other adventures with Christy, Amber and Hunter. That is what family is all about.
Thank you Grandma and Grandpa, we had fun going to the Jr. Museum with you guys. We will have the pictures up soon.
Yesterday in the wee small hours of the morning, Iraq became responsible for its' own government. This is an historic event. Never before has Iraq been free. And now it is. Saddam is gone. The road ahead will not be easy, but look at how long it has taken the USA to get its' act together. Demoracy is a work in progress. There is still great danger in Iraq from terrorists. But now, when one Iraqi kills another, it will be viewed as the work of an infidel. There are greetings pouring in, wishing Iraq well, are being sent from every corner of the world. Well, we can't expect much from the idiot French. When the Germans defeated the French at he beginning of WW 2, the French jouned the Nazi's. But what have the democraps done to wish Iraq well? They are condeming the event. No wonder the VP used the "F" word. The democraps are nay sayers. They thrive on bad news. Do you know a liberal? Ask them if they approve of the Iraq war now. They will tell you it was wrongheaded. Ask them if they now will vote for Bush and see them turn up their nose. Then ask them why they support Kerry.
When I was six years old,my Grandpa Ralph took me for my first airplane ride. We went to Kilertown and paid five dollars for the both of us to go up in a small plane. It was much different from the planes that are built today. I was so thrilled when we took off and looked down at the small houses and people on the ground. When we landed again, my family was waiving. It was a memorable day in my life. Yesterday I took another trip into the sky. It was a PT-17 byplane that was older than most members of my family. Ken, the pilot strapped me in and soon we were taking off. My family waved as we went by. When we were at altitude, Ken told me to take the stick. I flew the plane and over to Quincy we went to get gas. Then on our way back, Ken told me to take the stick again and I flew the plane. It was a beautiful plane and a great day and when we returned to the field from which we came, my family was wavihng. I shall never forget the trip into the sky. Thank you family for being so great.
Another week is over. How fast the time passes. One day you wake up and you are 74. Life is filled with sound bites. Do you remember what you did 30 years ago? Probably not. But if you did something special on that day it makes a difference. Writing your memories or in letters makes one remember. When I was away from my family in Korea or Viet Nam, I wrote everyday. That's the way to remember what happend in your life. How will we be remembered? How did you touch someones life? None of us will be remembered as those who shook the world will be. We are big fish in a small pond. But to our family, we may have made a difference to them. Take the time to stop and smell the roses.Be a good person and try to help someone everyday.
We are going on a cruise, on a cruise, on a cruise. Yeah!!!!!!!
Great pool pictures. The sign of summer. Modern technology is good. I wish I had pictures from the good old days. Amber, you sure can swim. Hunter, you are like a fish. Sarah you look good in a swimsuit. Love always, Grandpa
Hello Family. It was great to see you all that was at McClay Gardens yesterday to celebrate Father's Day. Food was great also and the weather was good to us. Thanks for everyone's help. We did miss Kim, Heather, Lauren, Matt, Adam, Sarah. Amber and Erik and Jenn. Maybe we can all get together on the 4th. Love to all and all have a good week.
Happy Father's Day! Today is our day. So, we will get a holiday from cooking and baking. We will not do the washing or the ironing. We will have a holiday from cleaning up the kitchen and the bathroom. Fathers day, sounds so good that we dad's might just take a holiday from homework around the house. Its great to be a father. It is only second to being a grandfather. Now, there is a job!
Christy, Sorry to hear about all the deaths that you and your family have had in one week. That is something for one family. Hope all will do well with it all. Life can be strange and difficult at times. Hang in there. Let me know if there is any thing that we can do to be of help. Have been thinking of you all. I have had about enough of this hot weather. Hope Sunday will be a decent day for us all to get together. Thinking of you and will be talking with you. It was great to be at your house on Sunday and see all that you have done and will be doing. It will be like going to McClay Gardens You will enjoy it all once it is all finished. Be in touch.
