Thank you Shipleys for helping your aged parents. You prove that having a family is important when they are as good as you all are. We are thinking of the Bowman's, Kurt, Christy, Amber and Hunter on their long needed vacation; and Kim as capable guardian of the girls down at St George Island.

Dear Family, First I want to say that it was great to see all of you on Sunday and helped to make a Happy Birthday for Kim. We did miss the ones that could not attend. The next birthday will Be Hunter's. That will be fun to give Hunter wishes. Thanks for the fruit bowl Christy and thanks to all the others for their help in eating the food and helping to clean up. I love you all and hope you all are having a good week and that all will have a great time on spring break. Next I want to tell you Kurt that it was good to see you today. thanks for taking the pictures of Conor. They are great. Please be sure to put them and also the party pictures on a disc for me. I have to think of the books. It was nice to see the girls looking and enjoying the books on Sunday. It was also good to see Nina this afternoon and of course Barbra when she picks up Conor. We went to the new super Wal-Mart this a.m. and it is great.I guess we will soon have it all on this side of town. Love and Hugs to all.

Today is an historic day. It will be remembered a hundred years from now, just as members of the "Greatest Generation" still remembers D-Day the 6th of June 1944. In less than two hours, Saddam's date with destiny will begin. The air is filled with electricity and tension. Families all over the USA are praying that their son or husband or brother will survive. No war is casualty free and the soldiers and airmen and women and sailors are in harms way. I will never forget my first experience in war. No one, who has not been shot at, or gone through a mortar attack can ever know what combat is like. I wish the brave men and women God speed. May God bless The United States of America.

At the end of the day, after dinner is over and Barbra and Mama are cleaning up from dinner, Conor and I go out on the porch. The evening shadows are lengthening. The frogs in the lake have begun their chorus. The sunset is beautiful. And Conor and I stit quietly. He lays back against my chest and we are at peace with the world. Is there anything that is better than the love between a grandpa and his grandchildren? Could any amount of money buy it? Life is great.

Yes, my dearest Amber, I do remember. I have loved every moment with you. I have so many memories of our good times together. Grandma and I will never forget you. No words can ever say enough how much we love you. We can't believe that you are a teen ager. We look at your movies and your pictures and we can't believe that you are growing up and oh so beautiful. We have had quality times with you and we look forward to more times when we can enjoy your company. We wished we had alerted you to the musical we saw last night. It was Hello Dolly and it was superb. We will try to look into the future to arrange some date that we can take you to the little theater. Love Grandpa

"These are the times that try men's soul." (Thomas Paine). Are there still men with that insite today? Yes, and his name is George W. Bush. Despite what the world says, Bush is doing the right thing. Remember, consensus is not leadership. The majority is not always right, and when they are right, often they are still wrong.

Just what is love? well for one, it is one of the most hackneyed words in the dictionary. We love this and we love that and we love french (American) fries and we love to get a free day and we love a good movie. But just what is love? When we see the look on Conor's face when he sees his Mom, that is love and no words of hype need be said to describe it.

How good to read the Shipley comments. Actnuts is history and some day our childrens' children will write in the guest book and they just might go to the archives and read what we did on 9 March 2003. There are two things I do first every day. I read the Drudge Report and then I read what's new on Actnuts. Keep up the good work, all of you. There are still some members of the family who do not write their comments in the guest book. Let us all urge them to get involved. No one is too busy to spend a few extra moments on Actnuts.

Mark did not have to take FCAT since he is a senior. He took it in his JR year. He was able to use the morning of Monday to preview the the TCC campus and Tuesday for oil change. He took his West Point PT test Thursday and that is one more check marked off. He and CLaude met with Major Story at the FSU campus to review the ROTC program there. Even if he attends TCC he can partake in the ROTC program at FSU. I've been angry all week about our taxes. I could and have said some bad works. Erik and Jenn are working over their SPring break. It is session time and there is money to be made. They will vacation in May after Jenn graduates. Claude and I are off to have Avelon oil change and drive a RAV-4. Mama and Dad and Sarah see you tonight at Hello Dolly. Love you!

Mr President, you outlined the reasons that the USA must disarm Suddam. And, disarmament means the end of Saddam's regime. Anyone who doesn't understand that, is too stupid to talk to. The ranks of the stupid includes the 75% of the people who were too stupid to understand logic in the first place. That includes the 50% who do not vote and the 25% of the people who are democrats.

Hello everybody--straight from the sweatshop I've escaped Nina and her "honey do" lists. They would male King Kong gringe. Seriously, I live the good life with the bestest of spouses. Amber--congrats on your gymastics accomplishments. Sara---good luck with softball---don't take "keeping your eye on the ball" too literal. Hunter----Kempo is top drawer and that's where you have to kick too. Taxes suck-----Nina is on the warpath with the IRS and I'm now taking lunches to work rather than spending $5-$10 a day. Life is good when you can complain about something like the *#@%* government. PS: The annual FCAT challenge is upon us; you'll all do just fine.

Happyness is waking up and finding your youngest grandson asleep, laying beside you. First you just look at him and enjoy the overwelming feeling of being able to have such a sweet bundle of joy. Then you see the REM (rapid eye movement) and then the corners of his mouth turn upward in a smile. Is he smiling at something he thinks is funny? or is he contemplating the day's activities? Then his eye lids flutter and next, his blue eyes open and there he is. He smiles at you. Can life be better? How lucky we are to have Conor with us. To see him progress in his capabilities and see the changes that each day brings. Life is beautiful. Thank you Conor and thank you Barbra and Derek.
