Nanny and Poppa had been away for 7 weeks!

This was probably the longest time away from

Christy, Amber and Hunter.  It was great being

able to visit with them.  Take a look at the pictures!

We took a ton of pictures of the kids today.  How did they get so cute?  Take a look at the others.

Kurt. Another memorable Thanksgiving celebration. Your pictures will last a thousand years. If only the brave residents of St. Augistine, so long ago on that first Thanksgiving, had a cam- corder. I hope some of our decentants will look a the archives of Actnuts some day and see us as we were on Thanksgiving 2002. We have so much to be thankful for. Thankful that we are alive. Thankful to still have my beautiful wonderul wife. Thankful that we live in the most wonderful nation in the world. Thankful that we are free. Thankful that we have such a great family. Yesterday, I looked at Nina at the Thanksgivig table to see if she would make a speech. But she didn't. I guess it is hard to put such sober heartfelt thoughts into words. I was afraid I would cry... for, saying what I felt so deeply, was too beautiful and poignant to express.

THANKSGIVING DAY

We gathered round the table At Thanksgiving time. In our hearts we were together, And we all were feeling fine.

Nina mixed the salad. Barbra sliced the ham. Christy prepared the dressing, And Heather baked the yams.

Kim worked on his presentation. And Kurt had lots of fun. Claude read the newspapers, While Derek hugged his son.

The kids had fun with Buddy. And, they really had a ball. Then at last they all assembled When Grandma gave the call.

God bless our little family, And America, our land so free. Please make us ever thankful For all that we can be.

So they all sat down to dinner. And each in their own way Were very very thankful, On this Thanksgiving Day.

GOD BLESS EVERYONE

Happiness is eating oyster stew at Costal Restaurant with your sweetie sitting across the table from you. Love just gets better as we get older. I loved her when she was so beautiful that I just melted when I saw her. But, today it is better than ever, and touching her and smelling her perfume under the covers on a cold night is as sensual today as it was over half a century ago. It is love that makes the world go around. When I look at her pictures as she was as a young woman, and compare her to that beautiful woman, I know why I love her more today than I did yesterday. Thank you for spending this wonderful day with me. I love you Bea.

Liberalism continued: It’s hard to believe that the liberals voted to decrease the number of students in the classroom. Despite the fact that Mc Bride the democrat nominee was equally stupid when asked how much it would cost the State of Florida to reduce the class size. His answer was… “Between 17 and 25 Billion dollars.” Between? No wonder he lost the election to Jeb. How could anyone ever have voted for Mc Bride? But that is typical of liberals. They have no brain, just a heart. It sounded so good to reduce the number of students in the classroom. It didn’t matter what it cost. Liberals don’t have a clue! They are totally STUPID! Yes, totally stupid. But we need a few liberals around to remind ourselves that liberalism is a lost cause. Do you know anyone who voted to reduce the number of students in a classroom? Ask them how that was going to improve education. Ask them if they even thought about what it would cost. How could a conservative live with a liberal? Do you know that there are members of a family who do not know what politics is all about? They never discuss the subject. They do not know what they believe in or care what the other members of their family believe in. Remember, the unexplored life is not worth living.

Hey to all. It feels and looks like winter but hope we have more sunny days as these dark damp days brings a person down. I am not up to par today but we all have our days. I did get some things on my list done so that makes for a good day. It seems that it is time to be thinking about the Holiday's so guess we will be in touch with all with more info on that stuff later. I am slow or so it seems but right now Conor comes first on some days of the week. Just wanted to check in. I have also been working on photo's for the books so if you have any to share please do so. Conor is eight weeks old! What a change in him. Every day brings another improvement. In the past few days he is so alert. He looks around and his eyes focus on his surroundings. He smiles and coo's. He is fun to be with. He stretches and touches things to see how they feel. He turns to see where sounds come from. I was gone for most of our children's early years. So, Conor is a joy to watch. How lucky Mama and I are to be able to share our lives with this darling little boy. Life is great!

Oh to be young again! If I were sill in my thirties, I would buy a Toyota Spyder and Kurt and I would drive off into the sunset in our sport cars. Kurt in hs MR-2, me in my Spyder. Oh to be young again! you nevre know how great youth is till its gone. I admire Kurt so very much. If I could come back again, I would want to be Kurt. He is so handsome. He is charismatic and witty and charming and everyone loves him. But I can't do that and so I am content to admire our youngest son. He has it all. Dear Family, The other day I happened to be listening to NPR (that is National Public Radicals) and in just a few minutes, I was ready to puke. Yes the crap that was spewing out of the host and the libs that were calling in made me ill. I have known for years that NPR is the left wing liberal media, but the absolute stupidity of the political crap was unbelievable. As you know, NPR appeals to liberal minorities, kooks, gays, sixties radicals and the political left. Never- the- less, all we true conservatives need to listen to NPR occasionally, so that we will know the face and sound of liberalism. I used to get Hanoi Sally when I was in the Delta and there is hardly any difference between the anti- American crap that Sally spewed out and the liberal junk that comes from NPR. However, what burns me the most is that my tax dollars go to support a left wing media at eh point of a gun. And since they are not profit based as the rest of the media, NPR does not have to worry about being balanced or objective. Well, you may want to know what lit my fuse. The death of senator Well-stone and the DLC political rally held in his honor, was the subject, and the host was telling the listeners how great Well-stone was. Well, he Well-stone) was a war- protestor during Viet Nam and it was people like him that pissed off us soldiers who were fighting for our lives in the Far East. By the way, that memorial for the senator was planned not by his survivors but in Washington by democrat operatives (Dass hole, Fat Kennedy and the Klintoons) But, it doesn’t matter which day or which program you listen to on NPR. It is all liberal crap. At least that is my opinion. Have a nice day, Love- Dad

Christy should dress that was every day. Hunter was frightening and Amber was a witch. Grandma and I loved seing the kids get dressed and going out to trick or treat. Sarah was on the scene also and she looked like a lady out of Arabian Nights. Sarah, where is your magic carpet? But the best was when Kurt got home early enough to see the kids do their thing. Mama, Kurt and I sat on the porch to watch the passing parade of bellsniklers. Quality time? you bet!
