Kurt. thank you for your help with the computer yesterday. It was also great to see you and I hope some day you can visit and not be in a hurry. I did take the CD to Walmart today and printer out a picture of Matt. It is greet and now I know to do something that I did not know this morning when I got up. I will see about doing more at a later date or when I know what I am doing. These days are so pretty that we all should be outdoors playing.

Congratulations Derek! We are home and had a blast in the mountains. Tubing was fun and cold. I am convinced to ski next time, at the Cattalochee ski lodge. We saw lots of Elk and deer at Cades Cove and just had fun visiting with Nanny and Poppa. Thanks Mom and Dad for taking us. Oh my, school starts for me tomorrow. Vacation went fast.
On New Year's day, we got together and celebrated the new year with our traditional meal of sauerkraut,roast pork and black eyed peas. The Shipley's , Kurt and the "Coon Bottom" Bowman's were in attendance. Christy and the kids were in the mountains. Barbra and Derek were in Gainsville. We all sat around the fire in the living room and enjoyed eachother's company.
HAPPY NEW YEAR To one and all. Mama and I stayed up last night to see the old year pass into history and the New Year be celebrated in Times Square. Some how, we missed doing that all these years and for one reason or the other, we never got to New York for the New Year's celebration. Mama and I want to wish all of you a happy new year and the very best of everything in 2002. You have made our life complete by being close to us. Parenting never stops and we got the chance o see the Shipley's move to Florida and Barbra and Derek get married. Can life get any better?
