Amber, I read your sweet dad poem, and I noitced towards the end of your poem I think you misspelled a word. It was in the sentence: " you're really not, your in my hear everyday swaying." Isn't it suppose to be heart?

P.S. can you teach me to write poems like that?

On Saturday 17 November many of us gathered at the Shipley's to see their new porch. While there, some of us discussed the shower of meteorites that was to take place that night and the following morning. We decided to go to AJ Henry Park and watch the show from the dock overlooking the lake. That evening Mama and I attended the play the Raisin in the Sun at the little Theater. When we went to bed we planned to get up at 0400 and go to the park. I was awake at 0330 and by 0400 Mama, Buddy and I were going out the door when Kurt called. He and the kids were on the dock and were watching the mgnificant show of meteorites flying through the sky. Soon Mama and I were on the dock and Amber, Nina and I lay down to wath the show ovrhead. It was a wonderful experience and none of us will ever forget it.

Another beautiful weekend in autumn. Saturday, Kim met us on the Trail and Mama and I accompanied him to the Scottish festival. The location of the celebraton was a beautiful plantation north of Tallahassee. Thousnads of people attended and soon we met the Shipley's and the went on to hunt for food. We snacked out on Fish and chips and then watched the gathering of the clans. Amazing that there are so many clans here in the Tallahassee area. Bag pipes sounded there lonesome call to battle and then we went round robin to see the different booths filled with plads and other Scottish items. At last we flopped down and watched the Scottiah dances. Mark got a tattoo on his arm and Mama discovered she had lost her sun glasses. (Nina retraced our steps and recovered the glasses) Mama and I stayed on after the Shipley's departed. We watched the Scottish games and then went back to hear several musical groups play Scottish music. It was a thouroughly wonderful day and Mama and I were tried but pleased with the weekend. Sunday morning, Buddy and I went to the Shipley's and soon Kurt, Amber and Hunter arrived for our Sunday dog run at A J Henry Park. It was another pretty day and Mama and I topped it off by going to the flea market. Life is GREAT!

Kurt installed our new DVD player and now Mama and I are in members of the 21st Century. We celebrated by watching Oh Brother Where Art Thow. What a wonderful world this can be! Thanks Kurt, you are so damned smart that I wonder how you can come from us poor kids from the Great Depression. Lucky us!
