First Day of June

Pool water contamination! - 11:59pm
The pool party ended with excitement as everyone was asked to evacuate because of the possibility of contaminated water. We gathered our things and left quietly, pretty much like sheep. Here are some pictures to check out of the party before all the ruckus began. Click here.

A pool party is planned at Barbra's place today. Pizza will be served for dinner. :)

Second Day of June

Day off for Kurt! - 7:34am
I don't have to go to work today. It's a good thing because I need the rest, Kathy has vacation next week. I will miss her! I still can't get over how we were asked to leave the pool yesterday. That was one of the most surreal experiences I have ever had. If you didn't see them yet check out the pictures from yesterday's news.
Hunter's belt exam is June 10th - 7:33am
Yellow belt testing for Hunter takes place that Saturday morning.
Movies with Erik - 7:31am
Erik and I went to see the movie 'Road Trip' last night. It was pretty funny. I missed the whole college experience.
Big date this Saturday - 7:30am
Christy is taking me out Saturday night. We are going to Osaka's for dinner and then a movie.

6/3 I took the kids to dinner and a movie last night. We ate at the Ming Tree Chinese restaurant and then saw Shanghai Noon. After the movie Hunter punched Amber in the head for taking his seat in the truck. Wonderful. Christy and Barbra went out on the town as well.

Fourth Day of June

Relax by the pool - 5:00pm
We spent a couple hours at the Messer's pool today. It was great to play around with the kids. Here are some pictures of them poolside. And here is another one of Hunter expressing his joy.
A.J. Henry Park - 1:45pm
The kids and I met Grandpa at the parks with the dogs. He shared his new poem with me. I never saw so many turtles in the lake as we need. We came home and shaved all the fur off the dogs. Life is good.

Fifth Day of June
Security features - 9:45pm If you are reading this then you already know about the password protection. I guess everyone knows I don't get a day off this week. Same goes for next week. I have to go to Tampa for business training on Monday. That will be my day off! Life is Wonderful! D-Day poem added - 7:28am I have added a poem by Grandpa concerning D-Day. Thanks Dad!

Sixth Day of June

New gym coach - 10:19pm
International Gold has hired a new coach straight from Russia. He does not speak much English, however he is whipping the girls butts in shape!

Amber read the author's Diablo, a dog. She remarked how sad a story it was.

Thanks to the brave folks from the best generation we are free in our great democracy. It is still worth fighting for.

Seventh Day of June
Shipley's head out -9:23pm The Shipley's are moving on to better things. They will be out of communications for the next few weeks. By the way, I went to Claude's brothers web site today. Pretty neat. Belt Exam reminder - 5:38pm Hunter's exam is this Saturday at 9:00am. I probably won't be able to go so please take pictures.

Tenth Day of June
Hunter made rank! - 10:35pm We now have a little yellow belt in the family. Hunter has earned rank in Kenpo karate. Thank you Grandpa for recording the ceremony for me. Great job Hunter! Dinner and Grandma and Grandpa's -10:34pm Thanks for dinner! The sausage and sushi was delicious. It was nice to see Derek again. After a long week at work it was great to have a beer and visit with everyone.

My family is back from the beach. I sure missed them. They are brown and seem happy. I am so far behind with the website. I have major updating to do but I am dealing with life right now so there is little inspiration. I will pull myself together by tomorrow. Pray to the gods that I will!...

Happy Fathers Day! - 10:31am Today is the day to honor your dad. Actually, every day is meant for that since we are supreme beings. I love my dad. In fact, I think about him every day. Just got back from swim lessons. Hunter is doing great with his diving. Amber has learned to jack knife! After lessons we went to Nanny's pool to practice all the new things learned. Now we are off to gymnastics and then to karate.

Yeah! Today I will be able to see my kids at swim practice, karate and gymnastics! Hunter is going to try for his 1st stripe on his yellow belt. Be sure to check out the new and improved Buddy page.

It's been a long time
6/24 Too damn busy to update the website. The time will come. Amber had a friend spend the night tonight. Tomorrow Christy heads over to Marianna with the kids. Wish I could go. Sometimes I feel like the red headed step-dad. Have a great day everyone!

Here it is June 6,2000 and the Shipley's have closed down their computer for the next two months as they will be moving and traveling. We hope that have a good move and that they will be safe traveling. We are looking forward to Nina and Mark being here the last two weeks in July. They will be moving 1 August into a house in the Ft. Lee, Va. area. We are glad that they will be closer.

Involvement! Last night at Barbra's was it. Mama and I want to thank Barbra for lending her pad for our family get together. But, we thank you all for coming. Well most of you came. The best part was that with a little effort we met and enjoyed the experience. But the kids, the cousins had fun together. Remember when they were the wild bunch and needed the adults to enjoy life? Well, now they have each other. That, more than any thing else is the importance of getting together. Family is the most important element in life... for, whom else can you count on? We are looking forward to the next get together. It does not have to be elaborate or expensive. If every one brings something and the menu is simple it can work. It does not have to be at someone's house. There are plenty of parks in the area and some have lakes where the kids can have fun. Kurt, we were so happy that you could participate last night.
